Based on beer recipes developed in the 1800s by traditional English brewers, this ale is well balanced with caramel malts and English hops. Historical records exist showing the importation of Fuggle and Golding hops to Upper Canada in the early 1800s, in fact it was well known for American invaders to demand food and beer from homesteads they occupied. Formerly known as Butlerís Bitter.
