Cambridge Misty Mountain Hop

Brewer: Cambridge Brewing Company
Style: Pale Ale - American (APA)
Alcohol Content: 4%
Seasonal: No

Description:
Never ones to pass up on the opportunity for multiple references, Misty Mountain Hop name-checks Led Zeppelin and hints in a most timely manner at Tolkien-esque worlds on the eve of the theatrical release of The Hobbit.

Misty Mountain Hop has a warm, toasty maltiness reminiscent of English biscuits with a subtle note of sweet but dry dark caramel. The beer is hopped throughout with Willamette, Amarillo, and Chinook and further dryhopped with Cascade hops. They offer a pleasant flavor of fresh grass, a hint of florals, and a very round, full, (middle-)earthiness. Our house ale yeast, during its warm fermentation process, was coaxed into producing some very complex fuity esters which round out this authentic British-style session beer. Deep copper-gold in color this seemingly mild beer is quite complex despite its delicate character. This is an excellent and quaffable session beer, and we sure hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

So I’m packing my bags for the Misty Mountains Where the spirits go now, Over the hills where the spirits fly
