2017: The hauntingly good brew in your hand is rife with dark complexities. Seven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected European and American hops help support the monolithic maltiness. This special batch was aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels and then transferred into port barrels where it rested for another 6 months. Deep notes of burnt caramel, dark sweet cherries, vanilla, and dark chocolate. A truly decadent brew that is intended to be poured into your favorite snifter and given time to warm up from its cool dark resting place. 13.0% ABV

After aging patiently in bourbon casks for 13 months, Double Barrel Dark Apparition was then transferred to freshly-dumped white Port casks for an additional 6 months.
