A great little shop with a decent selection of UK and international beers. The whisky and wine selection is given priority in terms of shelf space but I can usually find a few new beers here among the 150-200 on offer. Prices are more expensive than I’m used to in Edinburgh (£8.00 for Hop Stoopid, when I’ve paid £6.70 in Edinburgh bottle shops) but I suppose they can have the prices a bit higher because of lack of local competition.

Small shop dedicated mostly to whisky and wine. There’s roughly 100 beers available from mostly local producers. I found things from Cromarty, Alchemy, Eden Mill, Cairngorm etc. Visitors to the area will undoubtedly be able to find new things to try, though Scottish power raters may struggle. Prices were OK, service was quite good. Overall, worth a stop if you’re visiting Banchory.

This is by far the best bottle shop in Aberdeenshire. You have a massive selection of beer, local and international as well as a vast selection of whiskys and wines. The staff are always very friendly and know their stuff. The value is excellent but as I am here at least once a week it is stinging the bank balance! Money well spent I say! Definite visit when in bonny banchory.

Easily the best option in NE Scotland, interesting range with a few unexpected International visitors (Icelandic porter anyone?). Knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices.

Modern drinks emporium located in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. Impressive bottle selection (easily over 150), which includes a lot of Scottish micros: Brewdog, Fyne Ales, Tryst, Cairngorm and Dark Isle. On top of that they have a wide selection of Belgian brews (including some Cantillon, which is rare in this neck of the woods), American stuff like Ommegang and Goose Island and even some Kernel! Staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. This place was also really good value. If you are interested in non beer things the whisky, wine and port selection is also great (managed to pick up a bottle of 1985 Dow’s Port). A must visit when exploring Aberdeenshire.
