No Longer In Business

A word of advice to avoid ordering from this website. I did in November 2020, on the advice of friends and impressed by their combination of beers that aren’t readily available in the UK plus the very reasonable prices. My order totalled just under €100. When ordering the website did warm that orders where taking longer to process and ship due to the ongoing pandemic and high seasonal demand. I also expected some delays due to Brexit. But now three months later my wallet is lighter and my beer cupboard still empty. I’ve tried to contact the company several times and received nothing but an automated reply, no follow up from a human being despite the promise to do so within 24hours. In the meantime their website was shop off for maintenance for a number of weeks, then suddenly back online albeit the function to order has been removed. In short, I would not recommend ordering from Belgiuminabox.

According to a report in the local Antwerp press biab bv (Belgiuminabox) was declared bankrupt on 31/12/2020 in the Antwerp Business Court. A lot of people didn't get their xmas beer orders!

This shop is EXTREMELY SLOW. I ordered my Brasserie De La Senne brewery pack on July 25, got an order confirmation the same day, but had to wait for my parcel for four weeks (minus one day). On August 4, they told me they were "currently processing" my order. It finally arrived on August 20. Packaging was very well done, and the idea of selling brewery packs is nice, but why on earth does it take four weeks to get a parcel from Antwerpen to Berlin?

I ordered from Belgiuminabox (online website) and my parcels arrived yesterday. It's been an interesting order, so lets start with the positive elements, - • Prices are good. • The range of Belgian styles is probably as comprehensive as you'll find • You can get selection packs • Packaging is fantastic • Shipping costs are great, I had well over 31kg and it cost €13 • You can order whole crates which will be sent in the crate, in a box, with polystyrene to help keep bottles intact • Shipping was quite quick *when eventually sent • You earn loyalty points • I got a 750ml of a beer as a free gift. Ok the negatives • Site navigation is a little bit tired • Communication could be better • From placing the order to receiving the order it was 19 days :-( I had to chase them to find out what was happening, I received an automated response, I then got a shipment tracking code however this wasn't that helpful as for five to six days the message remained the same. I chased again and it then appeared to spur them into action, I was then told my order would be sent that day, I was recontacted about one bottle being unavailable and I also got a nice free gift as part of my order. My order arrived yesterday and was brilliant, invoice included, packaging superb and bottles and cans all accounted for. I think that I would shop with them again but just wish they could be a quicker or at least be more communicative and honest with customers.I think that they are decent and honest folk who are probably simply overun with orders.

I was there yesterday and I am very happy. A huge selection of Belgian beer at affordable prices. Service friendly and eager to help. They chose me a few beers from the Belgian top according to my preferences plus I got a recommendation for the next visit. Same positive impressions. I warmly greet them.
