Visited on a Wednesday evening for dinner and beers. Easy to find on the slightly quieter end of 6th Street. Unique layout with a walk in bakery and sandwich shop on the first level, and the beer bar down the stairs, and beer garden outside along the creek. I sat at the bar seating which is tucked inside an alcove in the basement. 33 taps, with more of a focus on national craft than most beer bars in Austin. Really well chosen selection, had a cask special going when I was there. Fun, young local crowd.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

I would possibly rate it somewhat higher, but I find the location/parking a real pain in the ass along with all else that is 6th Street. Pretty decent selection and great for hipsters of the moneyed persuasion.

Comments: Interesting place- two story with a bakery on the ground floor, craft beer bar downstairs, and massive patio area connected to the beer area below street level along the canals. Nice ambiance and interesting space. Service was good but not great. Beers on tap were a good mix of probably 5-8 local craft, 20 other US craft, and some foreign craft. Prices were a bit steep with mandatory half pours of certain beers like Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere, which should be served in a large glass as a lower abv saison. $5 for this half pour seemed steep. Didnít try any food but did see others chowing down on pretzels. Ambiance is lively and fun with a great mix of people. Fun place nevertheless.

Bakery/beer bar. Great combination. I wish I wasnít so full on all the other delicious food Iíd been eating prior to my visit because it looked great. The bar, seating area and beer garden are all downstairs. I like the low, wooden ceiling and warm lighting. Beer selection is very extensive with a balance of local, regional and import beer. The choices are certainly well above average but they didnít seem to have the rarer or more sought after stuff one might find at Craft Pride, Bangers or the Ginger Man. Still, this is an elite beer stop and Iíd highly recommend it. If Iím ever back Iíll make it point to eat here.

I went to the upstairs bakery for breakfast around 10:30. The line was long, and the two counter staff seemed overwhelmed and were making mistakes on the orders left and right. Once they called the manager, all was right with the world. The freshly baked breads and pastries go quickly, most things were out on a Saturday mid-morning. But the nine grain breakfast sticks that were left were tasty, as was the coffee. Then the downstairs opened (at eleven), and it was easier to linger, and try a beer and a sandwich. Interesting place. Street parking, metered, wasnít a problem in the morning.

Great discovery in Austin. Beer Garden is downstairs, with warm dťcor. Servers are knowledgeable and make solid recommendations. Food is fantastic, baked goods made upstairs and platters that accompany beer very well. Decently priced. Overall, a favorite place. Wish I lived in Austin, as Iíd go there all the time

As far as Austin 6th street goes, this is the beer place to go. In fact, itís more tan that as itís jsut generally a great beer place to go. No only do they offer a really nice amount of taps (more than 30 I belief) with both locals and national favorites, it is also very much a place for great craft food -- specifically breads and sausages. Both the pretzels with beer cheese spread as well and the home made sausages on rolls were brilliant. The atmosphere is such that you would spend lunch here (as we did) but also dinner or late nights. The servers were very friendly and knew their stuff. Beers are in the 5-7 dollar range. A very warming atmosphere as is rare in American city bars. If I would change anything, I would add a couple of beer fridges with rare bottles, but generally it is a super nice spot. I think I need to visit again tomorrow.

Interesting place. Interior seemed kinda dark but most people were outside in the biergarten, anyways. Sat up on a porch and watched the college kids, which is most of the customers here, and enjoyed the trees and breeze. Price was kinda high as they charged $4 for what seemed like only a 4 oz glass of DIPA. Good selection of brews though and service was fine. Would go back, but probably avoid evenings during school year as it is likely very busy then being only several blocks from UT campus.
