This is a pretty cool little shop, packed to the gills with spirits. They have quite a bit of beer too, and it seemed to me like most of it comes from the MD/DE/PA area. The dates looked pretty fresh. Prices were decent. Worth a look.

Visited on 5/12/2012. My experience was very similar to notalush’s. The prime reason for visiting Urban Cellars was its central location. The selection of beers wasn’t that wide, but I was able to pick up one from Full sail and an Estonian import from the fridge. I couldn’t see any 12 oz singles for sale, which was a bit disappointing. Service was friendly and efficient. Ok, if you are in the area.

Mostly wine, but lots of 12 packs and cases of craft brews. Two coolers of singles. Decent selection of 12 oz. singles. Not many big bottles, an odd assortment. Staff was very friendly. GREAT LOCATION IF YOU’RE STAYING IN THE INNER HARBOR.

Stopped in here because it was relatively close to my hotel - small, cramped space - primarily awine shop - some nice ambience with the wooden wine racks, despite the small space - limited selection of beer - small selection of region sixers - one small cooler of bombers, about half imports and half american craft - selection in this area seemed random, with some crap (baltika, anyone?) and some quality (jolly pumpkin, stillwater) - every brewery represented had about one beer available - it seemed as if, when making a beer order, they just did a sort of "eenie, meenie, minie, mo" sort of thing with the order form - prices were a little high - if you are staying downtown and really need to grab a bottle of beer, I guess you should stop in - otherwise, don’t bother.

I love this place. It is the most convenient place to downtown hotels and event locations. IUrban Cellars has the best beer selection in the downtown Baltimore Area by far. There is also wine and booze for those who prefer. Plenty of it for such a small place! Sthe staff is knowledgeable and often times samples you on things that they have open.

Great little shop with a nice ambiance. The shop has a decent selection of good beer at decent prices. There is also a good selection of liquor and wine. The staff is great; they are always helpful with recommendations. There are often specials/deals for the wine, and every month or so there is a free wine tasting. So far this is my favorite beer store in Baltimore.
