What to say - it's a tunnel. The day was unfriendly, so there was a certain kind of welcome to the shelter. Staff were at first standoffish, but by the time we'd donated a bottle of our best Estonain beer to them, and Tom had arrived and shared a US impy with us, things warmed nicely. I think Marduk was given free run to just tick everything! If I was local, I'd definitely pop my head in occasionally, but that's because the beers are of such blindingly high reliablity. Any place which attracts a Tom (tdtm82) randomly on the same day we're there is a good place - we didn't just get free beer, we got a free tour of the whole of Bermondsay afterwards. Cheers Tom, you're a star!

If you like Kernel, and you live outside the South where they're slightly harder to source, this is a wonderful place. Of course, they don't have taps or drinking in anymore, but you do have loads of Kernel bottles to take away and drink at your own leisure later. And it's cheap - about 60% what you'd pay in a shop. Watch the hours (Saturday only, 9-2) and make sure you don't miss a chance to pop in.

Was excited to finally get to visit, but as stated before only beers to go. Didn't meet the hype. Was able to grab some beers to take home. I'm sure I will stop in when in the area.

A very small setup they got here with just a few bottles available on wooden stands. Friendly enough service I suppose and good value for the beers they were selling. Really nothing more than a small stand selling beers for a few hours on weekends.

It was pouring rain outside so I was happy to get some roof on me finally. Plenty of bottles around. We were allowed to drink on premises, but I don't know if it was an exception. Staff weren't the gloomiest in area, but not the happiest as well, but we clicked somehow. Will come back if in area, but beside bottles to go or similar this place is dead boring.
