La Trappe Tripel | 8% | 5/2/2023 |
22 Semi rude service. Generic beers from Belgium, nothing surprising except the prices. Plain nothing from Hungary: Shame. Tourist trap from my point of view. Closing at 11pm not 12am. Cross the bridge and go elsewhere. |

36 Very close to Buda castle, this is not a bad place to get some pretty generic Belgian beers on tap, and somewhat more interesting bottles. But for Hungarian beer, you’re out of luck. Not a very interesting place - I don’t know why this is rated so high. Wouldn’t recommend it. |
68 Six steps down from Bem Rakpart street to this Belgian cellar bar and restaurant. Same owner as Pater Marcus? Mostly the same Belgian beers on tap and in bottles as Pater Marcus. This place seemed to be more popular at daytime than Pater Marcus. I guess the beer "Belgian Brasserie Pilsner" is an alias. 10 taps. Nice place but not what I'm seeking when in Budapest for the first time. (Visited March 27th 2018 with my wife) |

74 Visited on 26th May 2017. Cellar bar with a few tables on the pavement across the road and tram lines from the Danube and with a few Belgian bars nearby. Inside is pretty nice, lots of wood, the steps down are pretty cool and a minor miracle of design. Opted for an outside table and watched the trams go by, decent Belgian beer range, service was good. We shared a cheese platter that was pretty decent and good value, service and prices good. Liked this place. |
94 A Blegian Brasserie. Oldschool style underground bar. The service is very helpful and expert. Huge selection mostly bottled but there is about six tapped beer. Outside the traffic is a bit noisy but the view is beutiful. (The Parlament of Budapest)
This is the place where I started my journey into great beers and I have to come back time to time. |
