58 Visited some time ago with ogivlado and Maja. Located just west of the Batthyány tér market hall - kinda sticks out, taking the ground floor of a relatively new-seeming building surrounded by slightly more decrepit ones and the nice, market hall. As Ogi said, they did try, with an all-wood (seeming) interior with some Bavarianoid details - which seemed (disturbingly) new. In any case, it’s an outlet of Scherdel, which isn’t the most common brewery around - with the Pils, Schwarzes and the Helle Weisse on tap (plus a mix called Rigoletto, which isn’t rateable) and the Dunkle Weisse and the Free (alcohol free beer) in bottles. Bavarian food - we didn’t try it. Oh well, if you want Scherdel ticks and are in the neighborhood, why not. |
60 Place is located in small street just behind the market on Battany Ter. Interior is wooden, with pictures of Germany. It has a small patio in front with few wooden tables. We didn’t try the food since we came around noon and were a bit in a hurry - we were the only guests at the time. Few Schredel beers on tap and also few bottled. Service was ok and the beers also. Come if you are in neighborhood. |
