This store is ok. They are mostly wine and have a double cooler and stand in the back for the beer. Prices are a little high. They can have some randoms though. Tasting events are plus.

Stopped in here occasionally to grab a beer only available here. That is the biggest plus is that they seem to get some exclusive beers. Otherwise, selection isn’t amazing. A real nice ambiance for a store with an area to sit if you want to crack a bottle there. Service has always been solid. Prices are fine for Chicago.

If you are simply a rare bottle hunter, then don’t waste your time. The few rarities that they do receive are reserved for the regulars. You won’t talk them out of giving you one - I tried. However, this place is worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. I like the concept. It’s mainly a wine store, but they have a small cooler of good beer in the back. You can buy the beer and drink it at the tasting bar (and bring your own food if you want). Singles are around $2-3, which is WAY cheaper than a bar. Compared to a liquor store, their prices are maybe a tad higher, but not bothersome. I drank a Oude Gueze Tilquin, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and a Three Floyds Gumball head while I was there. It would have been twice the price at a beer bar. They don’t have a ton of bottles (75-100 tops), but it’s a quality selection.

stopped by here for the only time... terribly difficult to find a place to park unless you go to the garage, but a quaint area you could spend some time at... not very beer heavy, the least of the Lush’s, only one cooler at the very back, all commonly available stuff... not worth hitting up unless you live right there

Not really a large selection, just a two door cooler in the back. They do have some rarities there though like Imperial Brown Goose, Sam Adams Triple Bock, and other hard to finds. They had a 3 liter smoked arrogant bastard for sale last time I was in. Also singles of many beers so you dont have to try a sixer. Prices can be kind of steep so shop around unless it’s something you know you cant get elsewhere.

I’ve been in a couple times now and the service has always been excellent. The staff is friendly and they know their stuff. The prices seem to be a bit high, but everything is available as singles.

This place is geared more toward wine. It has a small beer selection out front. If you know some people you can find some old Dark Lord, Bells, or some other stuff that is in the back. Not much in the cooler, but a good variation and for those around well worth going to. Not nearly as large as a Sams or Binnys, but a nice addition to the south side.

So I stopped by this place because it has been greatly talked about in the Chicago forum. Nice new place, clean. Mostly wine and the staff was very friendly. In fact, she mentioned that they have nearly every bottle of wine in the store open if you would like a free sample. Thats always nice. The beer is located in the back in 2 coolers. Very similar to how the Corkscrew in Urbana, Illinois is. Selection is small but they did have some interesting beers. Being dreadnaught, Goose Island BCS, GI IIPA, some belgians that were okay. Prices were the same that you would find at other chicago locations. If in the area, check it out, but I wouldnt make a special trip without calling first to see if they have what you are looking for.
