74 Driving through Chicago I visited in August 2022. Interesting location. Industrial building for the taproom. Space was large and there was an area in the back for some kind of party, a baby shower, I think. Lots of barrels and my boys who were with me mentioned the smell of whiskey. We were there when they opened so not a lot of people. Easy purchase of take out beverages. Decent ambiance but also a little dull. Some good beer though. |
88 I have been to the other location, but this was my first trip to Kedzie. Getting here was a PITA; Chicago traffic officially sucks. I was surprised to find plentiful free street parking. Space is huge inside. Large bar and a warehouse full of barrels interspersed with long black tables for seating. Flights available; actually just individually priced 4oz pours. Good range of styles, with plenty for the hop-heads and just one BA. They did have other beers in cans for on-site consumption, and a good selection of four-packs to go. Definitely recommended. |
Recomendable!!!! |
84 Very nice Eugene porter. Worth to visit. |
82 A worth it stop, close to Belmont station (8 minutes walk}. Huge instalation, high ceilings, modern meets old, great prices, from 2 to 5 dollars a 4 ounces sample, great selection, from mild to strong. No food but interesting options around the area. |
82 12/9/17: Came in to pick up VSOD and Ryeway, stayed for a Beanorma Gene. Large warehouse space, small stand with large take out varieties, long bar for a few dozen people and many additional tables to serve a large group of people. Place was pretty full with the special release, service was good despite the crowds. Many Revolution varieties on tap. Didn't see the popcorn machine, but will check it out next time I go. Very good local brewer, glad I finely hit the brewery which is closer to my house. Recommend for those who want a variety of good beers. |
76 On a Sunday at noon... we were wondering is it open or not? It looked awful quiet warehouse building... We found a parking space and went in. A huge hall with barrels, tables and a big American flag. 15 beers on tap. All available also as a sampler size. Friendly service. No food but free popcorn. |
72 This is the larger production facility of rev and its huge can fit 100s. It has no personality, some games in back. Selection always has some rarities but the prices here fucking suck for a big brewery 6$ for a small beer that basically cost them nothing to produce. They really stiff their loyal following with the prices here but more power to them. The service is always good and the hours are often bad with special events randomly taking up regular opening slots. |
90 This is the taproom at the brewery. If you want to sample Rev beers, much easier to get into here than the brewpub during prime time. Added bonus, they have started having special beers on the board here that you can’t even get at the brewpub. BYOF and good for groups. Still free tours. Part of the ambiance are the views of the barrels and the laverne & shirley bottling line. |
78 Typical brewpub fare but pretty decent. Large selection of brews which are also pretty decent. Good place overall. |
