When I visited: May 2012. What I had: Buckeye Cleveland IPA (draught), Southern Tier 2X Stout (draught), Heavy Seas Loose Cannon (bottle), Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (bottle), Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc for the lady. What I liked: inviting bar, various seating options, great background music with multiple games on the flatscreens, engaging staff, the manager does magic tricks, impressive tap and bottle menus. What I disliked: Pricier than other local bars, all beers are served in the same glassware, limited number of taps. Would I go back? Yes. Overall Rating: 78

June 7, 2012 - Advertises over 100 craft brews and a few taps. Great place for a bar/restaurant in a hotel, but don’t go out of your way unless you are staying at the hotel or got lost and are in the area. Service was blah, I had to beg and plead for a dinner menu and beer list. Plus one of the bartenders got all bent out of shape when some dude was leaving to go to another restaurant that the bartender didn’t like, just bizarre. I did strike up a nice convo with Manny, who also bought me a beer! Food was a let down. Went with some seafood pasta dish that had almost no taste for $16, not a great deal by any means but not what I would call overpriced for being in a hotel either. Didn’t quite get the signed playing cards stuck to the top of the ceiling.

Motel lobby bar. Beer selection for that part of town is quite nice though. Food is Foo Foo, small portions and over priced.

Kind of a strange set-up with this restaurant in the hotel itself, but I have seen Marriott doing this elsewhere and it seems to be working. The menu is somewhat rustic - small to large plates. I have been here a few times and have noticed a decline in food quality. It still remains high, but initially this place was outstanding, now just above average. They may have also scaled back their beer offerings as last time I went they did not really have all that much on draft (best option being DFH 60). They do have a fairly large bottle list, however. In my opinion, the food prices are a high for the portion size. Certainly a unique menu paired with a nice beer selection (bottles mostly) make for a good establishment. Given the decline in food quality, there remain many better options in Cleveland.

Hotel bar/restaurant at the Marriott Cleveland Airport. Tremendous selection of bottled beer - Great Lakes, Hoppin Frog, Brooklyn, Dogfish Head, North Coast, Stone, Left Hand, Founders, Lagunitas, a couple hard to find belgians, Unibroue, La Trappe, others. Food is terrific, laid-back hotel restaurant atmosphere. What a find for a hotel on a business trip!
