20 Over advertised place with a rather dull selection. You can get most of the beers at the supermarkeds in Copenhagen - and a lot cheaper. Very noisy on Fridays. |
34 There were rumors, that this place had closed down - but it hasn’t. But maybe it has new ownership, since a lot of things are not what they used to be. For one the very long list of beers - amongst them some seldom beers - has been cut down to around 60 easy to get beers. And the beers are expensive compared to other beer-bars. When I was by no food were available, not even nachos - even though it was just after 7 PM. The bar is very light, which doesn’t make it very cozy, and there is used lots of stone. Only 4 patrons were at the bar when I was by, while other bars were packed. |
60 Hmm, I think the numbers (taps: 12 & Bottles ~120) are a bit overrated. I counted 4 taps and ~60 in the menu... they had more than that but not 12/120. No rare beers :-( And not alway proper glassware. The waiter didn´t seem to know that much about what he was selling. Cheep macros. They only had two christmas beers: Tuborg Juleøl and St. Feulliens´. BUT the atmosphere was quite nice, there was a cool jazz-band that plays every Thursday nights. So now the beer enthusiasts (ie. geeks) can go out with their jazzy friends (on Thursdays).
They´ve got pool and billiards, tv and big screen tv. I haven´t had any of their tapas so that rating is based on what my friend told me.
To me it seems like Alumen Bar is trying to be too many things (...to a RB´ian, anyways). There IS room for another specialized beer place with music and pool + foosball in that area. But they have too many other things going on at the same time: macros, bad tapas, wines, long drink, shots.
In short, the most interesting thing about this place is the games and the live music combined with the craft beer. |
