90 I like this place for a few reasons...1. Its a bottle shop close to my parents house when I visit. 2. The selection is typically pretty interesting. 3. Great selection of whiskey, some of which are a really well priced.
Im not sure how Id feel about this place as a local. They do have a Growler fill up section in the back and currently doing some renovations. I like the small packed warehouse vibe but well see how it changes over the next year or so. |
80 Good, broad selection. Like the cash discount. Helpful staff. Checkout is usually fast. This is the main place I shop. |
56 This is a large package store, focusing mainly on liquor and wine, but with a respectable beer selection, and they know their stuff. Unfortunately, they don’t break six-packs. The prices are standard or better. Overall, there are better stores around. |
70 They get most of the new releases, all good locals, and generally a better than average selection. Most of there beer is out of cooler which is fine, but a lot of it has been sitting for a long while. Still I always manage to find gems here. |
86 Just your general liquor store.Very small space, but that definitely doesn’t keep the selection down. Nice selection on craft. Wish they had cold singles and not just cases. Very knowledgeable staff. Gets lots of new stuff in before most. Nice to be able to count on them. Pricing is good. You save a few cents if you pay cash versus card. |
46 The traffic trying to get into this place is aweful all the time it seems. This store is my last resort. The staff doesn’t really seem to care about the customers. I had asked them if they had Samuel Adams The Vixen, and the only response I recieve was "it’s on the shelf." No one showed me where it was, I had to look for what seemed like forever for the beer I was craving. I went back and had asked them if they could show me where it was, all they did was point and repeat "it’s on the shelf" but added "over there." Very rude, and not very knowledgeable about their own inventory. |
72 Took the trip up here after work as it would normally be quite a trek from where I live to pick up a rare style of beer (Faro). They have a fairly large selection of local, micros, & imports. I will be monitoring the beers available here since I think they might continue to have rarer beers longer than at Greens. |
80 Visited on a recent trip to Dahlonega--and boy, am I glad we drove the extra distance to find this place. Best selection of beer I have seen in somewhat rural GA for sure. It took quite a while to browse the beers as it seemed beer was everywhere -- coolers, shelves, hiding in back corners, etc. Noticed some beers from Left Hand, Sweetwater, Allagash, Moylans and Founders that I hadnt seen elsewhere in the area. Definitely more than a few treasures to find if you take the time to look carefully. A must stop in this area. |
80 This is a great place to buy beer if you have time to browse, and know what you’re looking for. They have cases and shelves, and lots of craft beer in almost no semblance of order. 7 or 8 cooler doors of macro and micro selections. I was able to find Duck Rabbit beers, Founders, Bell’s, Terrapin, and Left Hand selections, mixed in with everything else. Employees usually stay up by the register, so I was left to browse, but I did find a few gems. I would definitely return again, if in the area. |
80 Big selection - service not great |
