62 Located in a fairly well to do shopping center with valet parking if you want it. The place is large and dark and feels more like a steakhouse than a beer bar. Huge draft list though as others have pointed out it’s pedestrian and lacking in a lot of the best local goodness. Prices were average for the area which is high in most places. It’s more of a convenience craft beer bar than a destination one. |
82 Nice place. Lots of beer on tap. Huge beer menu. Nice variety of beer styles and food styles. Good music. Somewhat crowded and noisy, but overall a nice place with a big beer selection. |
80 TREMENDOUS selection, both tap and bottle. Most of the bartenders are both knowledgeable and helpful. On the minus side, the place can be a cluster to get to, it’s usually very crowded and loud, and it’s a little pricey, even by Boston standards. Still, that selection... |
70 Hard to knock a place with this many beers on tap but I will. Everything is served in one a pint glass which seems strange for a place that boasts such a wide selection of different styles of beers. At least have something appropriate for the dozen or so wheat beers that are offered. Whatever. It’s just a big chain. Shouldn’t expect too much I guess. |
76 I was in the area recently and visited this place a couple of times. Didn’t try the food, but they have 130, give or take, taps. Probably nothing ultra rare but an excellent selection of beer. They also have an assortment of hard liquor drinks and wine. The place is located in a shopping plaza. Nice area; fairly spacious inside, but was quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights. The prices were high, not uncommon for the state of Massachusetts... Good time. I’d definitely go back here if in the area. |
74 Not a bad place, not great. It was quite crowded when I went and had to wait an hour for a table. Luckily in an outside strip mall so i was able to kill time in adjacent stores. Beer list was overwhelmingly pedestrian. Out of a hundred plus choices ten or so were actually interesting. The quality of the food was good but you pay for it. Service was adequate but not good. I would only go again if a group of people were determined. It would not be my first choice. |
78 Busy Legacy Plaza, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you can expect an hour or more wait to be seated. It would be best to come on an off day. The plus is you choose from 130 brews on draft. Beer you’re not going to find just anywhere. Even a well-traveled beer geek can get a few new beers to sample. One other down side is I didn’t see much in the way of proper glassware. Our waitress was real busy and still made proper rounds. The two entrees we ordered were both average/ above average and I guess for the area not “REAL” expensive. But come with a pocket of cash to be on the safe side. |
86 Stopped in for a beer and to check out the place after dinner at another place in Legacy Plaza. Busy Saturday night crowd. The tap selection was impressive. Many local brews, imports and stuff I just haven’t seen on tap before. Ommegang Hennipin, Delerium Tremens, St Bernardus Abt 12, and many many others I can’t remember. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered a Paulaner Hefeweizen, but was a bit dissapointed it was simply served in a shaker pint, instead of a wheat beer glass. Came in a little flat, which always makes me wonder what was wrong with it. Anyhow, this is a good place to stop if you are in the area and want a different draft brew. $6 for a pint though. Update: Been here several times since my initial rating. Food is excellent (even if it is pricy). Great service. Beer selection continues to impress. Love the Classic Rock tunes too! Not bad for a chain. |
