80 Dumpy looking place on the outside, but whoa look at all of that beer. Most can be singled out - but the single prices definitely on the high side for what I'm used to paying. There was no service other than to ring me up. Absolutely worth a stop, especially if you're an out of towner looking for a bunch of singles to take home. |
100 This place is apparently where it all begins in North Carolina. It is unassuming from the outside, but once you walk in you realize the beer mecca that this pace is. They have more than any other place I have been to and they know what they are talking about. They helped me learn to love beer and showed me what a beer store could be. |
92 Really enjoyed running into TURDFERGUSON here, even though the stop was very rushed during an evening drive from Fort Bragg to DC. Massive selection, but more importantly it’s very well organized. NC to the left, along with the ciders and meads. US beers straight ahead. Cozy nook off to the side for the foreign stuff. Tons of coolers as well. And, of course, taps, growlers and crowlers (just added). Top notch service. Go out of your way to visit this place. There are enough other places in the immediate area to make the stop even more worthwhile. |
90 I’ve been here many times now, and today I find the place is now entirely devoted to beer (and wine). Lots of taps now, more than I remember from before, and I hear of their plans to build out the back and add 1600 feet more space. Woot! Bi-polar store. First part makes a 7-11 look like a high class place. Next room over, and you have a phenomenal selection. They have plenty of macro selections, but they also dedicate major space to craft beers from all over the world. Decent prices with some good sales. Selection is a little haphazard looking, but everything is pretty well labeled. They allow you to break sixers, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Best beer store I’ve seen yet. You must stop here if you’re anywhere near Durham. Stopped by here again today. Still feels like I’m a kid in a candy store. |

84 Plenty of parking right on the side of the building. Couple dozen people in this place, half a dozen employees. Friendly and helpful staff. Big selections and pretty good prices. Some tap selections to be had. Hope to go back some time. |
100 Sam’s Quick Shop is the best beer store I’ve been to in the southeastern region. They have an overwhelming selection, friendly and helpful staff, and fair prices. |
