Anheuser-Busch Brewery

Mistake area review - should be the St. Louis Brewery location. Cannot delete.

Tour was fairly well organized and bog-standard for a large production brewery. The sample offers on the day I visited were quite limited -- Bud Light, Bud, Shock Top, Goose IPA. The Clydesdales are housed at this facility (when not on tour). They were present in the stables the day I visited. Just outside the brewery and the stables is a Biergarten and Gift Shop. The Biergarten offers food (sandwiches, burgers, etc) in addition to brews (I didn’t eat there, so I am not including a food rating).

Nice little tap house that the tour ends in, service is good. About 30 or so InBev beers including Leffe and Stella. Value is great if you do the tour (free!). Overall, better than I could have expected, but very industrial feeling.

Stopped on the way back from Wyoming with Bobby and Aaron. Huge brewery visible from the highway. The visitor center is a little further up the road. They have a store where you can buy merchandise and beers (bottled) as well as a tasting area. Unfortunately, only really the standard lineup of Shock Top and Bud products available during our visit. They have a tour available, but it’s about $25, I believe.

First stop back in CO after doing a tour through Cheyenne. This particular Anheuser plant has a tasting bar and merchandise shop. We had hoped to find a pile of new Shock Top variations, or at least that mix pack with the beers allegedly made at the different plants. Sadly they had neither. They do however have a nice bar area, do tours (which I want to do one of these days), and have a lot of merchandise. The credit card machine wasn’t working so it took a while to get my taster glass since they had to run the credit card the old fashioned way. Apparently they run all the credit card transactions through the St Louis office. Anyway, they have a ton of different glasses, shirts, bottle openers, and other trinkets. Definitely worth a stop once to see how the big breweries do it but don’t expect much in the way of either new beers or good beers.

Tour is free and you get two free beers after the tour of the large brewery. The tour was actually pretty fun- you even get to see Clydesdales.

Tour Guide was not very good, standard brewery tour for the most part, The Samples were good had a decent variety of thier products.

Overall, this was a pretty cool tour. Very informative, great guides, free beer. It was pretty neat to see how they brew and distribute A-B products. It was cool to see all the cans and bottles going down the line. The clydesdales were also a pretty cool sight, as well as the old wagon. Well worth a visit if one is passing through Ft. Collins. Though they have a two beer limit (3 w/the Bud Light Lime tasting), the servers here were pretty lax. Most got 3 or 4 servings, but a few got more than that. I was also surprised by their offerings. While I was there, they had the normal fare of Bud and Bud light, but they offered their Odouls line, Schock top, Beach Bum, Bare Knuckle Stout and Harbin. Overall, I had a pretty good time on the tour.
