84 In what looks like an old house. Basically no parking within several blocks, with dozens of people cruising and making U-turns on a busy good-weather Saturday afternoon. Large outdoor space with a huge tent over picnic tables, some barrels and a small bench type bar. Inside had a long wrap around bar that was nearly empty when outside was full with a long line, as well as restaurant tables. Table service started strong then faded as they got busier and busier and busier. Almost everyone was eating, a testament to the tasty food. Large taplist with a whole bunch of bottles and cans. I didn't see any flights, but taster sizes were in the $3 range except for a whole bunch of Peche Mortel variants which were around $4. Solid place. |
70 Waking distance from 5e Baron, this is a pretty great bar. They had 20 taps, almost all QC beers and all available in taster size pours for $3-4 or so. The taplist wasn’t sensational, having plenty of mediocre stuff on tap when I visited, but I managed to find a few interesting ones to taste. Service was haphazard and out to lunch, but friendly enough. If you’re in this area, this is a worthwhile stop, but if not, then check out the taplist before you come to make sure it’s worth it. |
100 Nouvelle adresse depuis 3 ans. Plus de fûts (60) plus de sélection...peut même ramener à la maison! |
92 Finally tried this place, with great company. Godson could not attend due to Blues Festival. The food is good, snack type, great selection and knowledgeable staff. Had to see their cellar. Impressive. |
88 Worth seeking out if you’re staying in Ottawa, just a short cab ride across the river. Smallish place (a restored house I believe), comfortable vibe, nice patio. Great tap and bottle list, lots of fun stuff including some hidden gems. Terrific service, great food. I look forward to returning. |

90 Ive been here so many time...rating the old location, as they will move this fall to bigger and better things. Beautiful neighborhood with old house, including this place, a wonderful atmosphere. Good tap selection and excellent bottle selection, mainly hard to get imports. Food is limited but good, i especially like their chili and the pita pizza. Service: i feel at a friends place. A must in the NCR. UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 2018 : Bigger, better, More taps, more food (eventually), a bit more parking, same friendly service from Dan, Martine and the crew. |
