We visited here Thursday 9th February 2017, our hotel was very close (NH Collection Genova Marina) for orientation purposes this place is also very close to the huge Aquarium, Tourist Information and the replica Galleon boat which is also next to our hotel. Eataly is on the top floor, I believe you can go up via steps to the side near the Tourist Information or better still the glass elevator on the waterfront side, we took this option. I have been to two Eatalys now and the format is similar, itís like a huge market place Deli with eating areas amongst, I guess that the layout here was similar, though the eating was a little bit seperate at the far end, in fact its off to the right on exiting the lift, though strictly speaking I think that you have to go left through the fruit and vegetables before it snakes back around to the right past the cheese, meats etc. It is just after here that you will find the beers.

The beer choice is actually very good, ok so there is a rather average selection of UK, Belgian and rest of world beers but itís the Italian beers that you would come for and the range, variety and prices donít disappoint. There were a few Ligurian beers in fact there may have been quite a few I am really not so familiar with Italian micros. The beers are on the RH side here from floor to ceiling. We just selected a couple to have back at the room later. You can also drink beer on site, we had an excellent pizza washed down with a very good Maltus Faber Tripel Hop 750ml beer which was Ä11 to drink in or Ä8 something to take away. I like it here, the choice and quality of the food is excellent. We will definitely return again to stock up before the end of our break.

This chain grocery store/eatery is on two levels, right on the harbor and has a decent beer selection. Most of the beers are Italian micros though there are US and European micros too. The pizza station looked good but I had just eaten before stopping in so I will have to try the pizza later.

If we talk just about beer the place is just good as beer shop with bottles from England Germany and Italy with no rarities but still interesting and the only time I bought some bottles I found some unexpected one .. The restaurant is good with 3/4 different area for making the order , depends if you are fancy about pasta , meat or fish ..

Prezzi ottimi davvero!

Big selection of Italian food, wine and beers. International and Italian, and enough bottles to keep me happy.

The quality food supermarket chain founded by Oscar Farinetti has a small (compared to the others) shop in the heart of the Porto Antico of Genova, close to the famous Aquarium; the "restaurant" part of the outfit is not good as in Torino or Milano, and beers available on tap are mostly from industrial brewers (Forst and Weheinstephan), but the market area has lots of bottles from Italian microbreweries and worldwide classics at a price which is nearly unbeatable in town. Well worth a visit if around, for local brews or national and international exquisite ales.
