A wee whisky bar in Glasgow city centre. The decor is amazing - Victorian, I think - and the array of whiskies is huge. There are four ale pumps (aside from the standard Guiness and what-have-you), with a constantly rotated selection. Beers are usually (always? I’m not sure.) Scottish, generally traditional in style, and, in my experience, always served in tip-top condition. I doubt you’d ever see Mikkeller or Beavertown here, but if you prefer Kelburn or Drygate, you’re in luck.

As other reviewers have stated, the Pot Still is more for the whisky drinkers than ale hounds like myself. Old fashioned and pleasant enough, my cherry stout was in good condition, but the selection of beers left a lot to be desired. Would call again if in Glasgow, however much better pubs to be found in this part of the world.

Pot Still is a great little traditional boozer located on Hope Street. The focus here as the name suggests is malt whisky and they have a hell of a selection of it (perhaps even top 5 in Scotland). As well as that there is a small cask ale selection which seems to rotate pretty quickly (all 4 turned in a day) and included Tryst & Loch Lomond on our visits. They also have about 20ish German bottles. Good service and there is an interesting range of customers kicking about. A great spot, particularly if you like whisky.

Come for the potential that you might get a beer, but know, it's for the whisky. Unpretentious and totally awesome!

A really good whisky pub where you get a generous measure but at a generous price. Offers a few real ales as well. Nice traditional ambience. Not as good as the Bon Accord for Ale drinkers.

Nice old man pub style atmosphere on a Friday night, plenty of good German bottles of beer in the fridge plus some Scottish & English offerings too. Service was fast for a Friday and the place was packed. It was a bit pricey though but I would probably go back & the location is good.

Has to be visited just to experience the whisky on offer. Decently kept cask, but nothing too exciting.

More a whisky pub than a real ale pub. The line-up a whiskies was just amazing, I’ve have never seen anything like this before. A few interesting bottle beers and cask ales, too. I was taken here because of a beer from Ayr. Central location, medium sized, dark wood interior, popular by different kinds of people on a Thursday night (visited, 12.04.2012).

Traditional Scottish beer on tap+ a extremely large whisky selection. And that's a nice combination

Visited in June 2010. Only had one real ale on offer, the widely sold Deuchars, so not much of a beer venue.
