72 As clean and boring looking as any SB, this one has a large, varied selection. Lots of locals, some solid foreign bottles and quite a lot of goodies. For Scandinavia prices are quite good. Could easily have walked away with more if I wasn't going to buy Christmas presesents. |
80 Big store with great selection of swedens finest micro breweries. Great value and hard-to-find beers. Missing some lambics and sours. Will visit again. |
78 Visited 12-NOV-2016. Looking for big bottles for a nearing Christmas lunch with friends. They have few. Lots lagers, some X-mas brews, mostly Swedish but not all that interesting (to my taste). Many beers from local Breweries. That is the best feature of this place.
I used to think that Systembolaget has a fantastic supply of craft beer. I can see that I can get better a lot of Places in Copenhagen.
That said...
...this is a must visit in Göteborg. |
70 One of the best selections in Sweden. Allot of local beers like Dugges, Stigberget and Ocean. |
60 Well, the place to go to buy beers in Sweden, fine selection, acceptable prices. Faint service. |
74 Biggest Systembolaget in Gothenburg and one of the three biggest stores in the country which means it gets all limited releases and special releases. Staff is knowledgable and friendly but the place is usually crowded which shows on their stress levels. Gets some local stuff but not a lot. I visit here for special releases or to get special bottles of wine or spirits. |
56 Ok. Few local ones. Good location. |
70 Systembolaget main facts: Chain of government controlled monopoly stores to sell alcohol with an ABV higher than 3.5% to take home. 20 years age limit to shop, or even to accompany someone else making a purchase. If ID can not be produced, you might get refused service. All alcoholic beverages above 3.5% ABV you wish to buy in Sweden and not from a "Systembolaget" store, you will have to buy at a pub or restaurant, for consumption at the place where you purchased it. Minimum age requirement 18 years, the pub itself might opt for another age limit though, making it so you need to be older still. Alcohol at 3.5% ABV or lower may be for sale to take home at regular stores that have a permit for it, age limit 18 years, ID may be required. This store: Latest visit was Tuesday December 9, 2014, around 5 pm. You could see it is getting "close" to the holidays, since it was already getting long lines to the check out. No real crowd though, at least not around the beers. Earlier text below. One of the best/biggest selections in Sweden. If you find the right guy also a very good service and knowledge. Shall carry all new beers released (every month) and have the full selection of the regular assortment. |
78 Best bottleshop in Göteborg. Good variety and new products every month. |
72 Visited on Saturday lunchtime, 22/03/14, around 11.30/12.00.
Located inside a largeish shopping centre and convenient for the centre of Goteborg.
All drinks available from wine to spirits but our focus was of course on
2 or 3 aisles (about 25% of the store) dedicated to beers split largely into Swedish micro, Belgian offerings, then others, all the macro crap at one end on its own.
Good mix of stuff largely comprised from the UK, the US, SWE, Germany and Belgium. Prices are good, as per other Systembolagets, US bombers from the likes of Stillwater for around £8/$12! There were staff at hand to ask questions if required and service was fine at the till, I didn’t have to queue for long.
I can see the advantages (great prices and interesting imports) and disadvantages (limited range in some respects).
Definately somewhere I’d head back to though! |
