Angleterre

Classic british brown red green pub with lots of english beers. Wonder if Rune has tasted all of them. Apparently it has been here since 1976. So it is well run. British and australian pop played during my stay. I went a bit outside the angleterre track and had an estonian can.

Very British, carpet in the entrance, 3 cask ales and fotball on multiple screens. Rather crowded at my visit and nothing very exciting on tap. Anglophile? Then this bar is a must visit. For me, just a quick stop. (Visited March 23rd 2019)

Interior resembles a British pub. Small handful of cask ales on offer plus drafts and a whole lot of bottles, all posted on small chalkboards behind the bar. Flights of three for 12 euro available, their suggestions or yours.

Felt at home as soon as I entered this one.Dark wooden interior, maybe more British than in UK. 20 taps including some ciders. Very service minded bartender at my visit, and he had 4 Finnish beers on tap, the rest was a good mix of UK beers, amongst them Siren and Redchurch. No music played during my visit,buzz from people drinking and chatting was enough to fill the room with athmosphere, recommended place.

One of the places for real ale in Helsinki. Also the rotating taps can provide a tick or two. I’d say this pub is always worth a visit. Nice English style atmosphere.

I have a soft spot for this place. Not the greatest selection. Staff are fine. However I just like the atmosphere. Quiet conversations, people playing games, reading books. Unpretentious. The sort of pub I’ll happily while away a couple of hours.

Another english- style pub. Looks old. Feels old. Smells old. Lively in the evening. Lost my whole day beer notes to the toilet pot. Found them from the same place. Not ruined. Great success! Found Anna and mjs here. I think somebody fell asleep, not sure. Goddards!

English style pub with three cask ales. Not the most interesting beer list, nor interior, but still a place worth visiting.

Very nice place with at least two constantly changing real ales on tap. The staff varies from very knowledgeable to just basic skills, but usually they are pretty friendly. The beer selection is not the greatest, but pleasantly different from other (chain) beer houses in the central area of Helsinki.

English-style pub in central Helsinki with checked casks and a lot of British and American and Danish bottles. Felt chair cigar lounge atmosphere. Knowledgeable and friendly bartender.
