52 If you're here, you're not coming for the beer. Good food though and wine on tap. |
78 New Years 2013/14 dinner here. Nice setup with the long bar. We sat upstairs where it had an excellent ambiance. Food was excellent--got seared scallops and risotto--and a decent enough selection of beer. Had my first Jersey brew from River Horse along with some Blithering Idiot. Good service, reasonable pricing on the food (bro in law took the bill so no idea what the beers cost). Overall a nice place to stop in for dinner with a plenty-good-enough selection of beer. |
72 Bar tender has good depth of craft brewing knowledge. Decent selection of bottles and rotating draft beers. |
42 place is oldish and needs some decor work though it seems reasonably clean. outdated and complete with the bar smell from generations long ago. not many brews to brag about. been around since i was too young to drink and hasn’t changed much. |
70 Great food at this place, wow, and to go along with it, great beer. Prices stink but what can you expect from Hoboken. Rotating tap selection often with the seasons and beer is always fresh and enjoyable atmosphere always helps. |
70 I like this place. Decent selection by Hoboken standards (so mediocre by normal standards). Food is very good. Service is quite solid. Prices are....well, no place is perfect. Happy hours beers are half price, which is nice. |
76 The Brass Rail offers both bar dining and fine dining. Though either is a little pricey, the food is pretty delicious. They do have a great 2-course price fix brunch on weekends for $15. Personally, I find that’s a great time for a relaxing beer. The selection is decent, with a few locals, usually captain lawrence, brooklyn or such. You can also usually find a dogfish head IPA and a few belgians and a couple belgians. |
