A huge warehouse and the best place for me to do bottle shopping. We stayed in an apartment near Newport Path Station and I walked back and forth, bringing back 12 small singles to my empty fridge. The selection of 12 oz singles where you could pick and create your own six pack, really made my day. I have to admit, the six pack "thing" and all the big bombers are irritating when you just want to try many new beers. And, why not display local New Jersey beers better? (Visited June 20th 2016)
Very large store with tons of beer. Didn’t have time to explore all of it, but plenty to choose from, especially if you’re not from the area. Lots of singles available, both in and out of coolers. No rares, though. Prices seemed cheaper than in NYC. Left with 7 or 8 bottles.
Big selection of American craft beers - Founders, Flying Dog, etc. A small selection of German and Belgians.
Mostly for getting 6 packs or cases as they offer huge discounts.
The place is basically a warehouse for wine and beer so don’t expect much else. It holds a lot of stuff but not a lot of rares.
Either way, decent place to go if you’re looking.
Good selection of beers , some belgian beers, but not too many, overall a good selection of american craft beers with a surprise here and there in the non domestic craft scene. Prices are lower than anywhere else in JC - so a good deal to make and they deliver without charge when over 60 Bucks...cannot complain about that one.
Huge warehouse right next to the Holland Tunnel. Great selection. Singles, 750s, cold and warm, sixers, variety 12packs, ciders, and they have a separate geuze / lambic section. I got a 10% discount on already good prices, not sure why. Lots of Lost Abbey, Firestone, Ballast Point, Bruery stuff. A nice break from New York prices, too.
After a big ol’ tasting at Paul’s place (the first of a two night tasting extravaganza) Paul and I headed here to do a little bottle shopping. My first time here and it didn’t disappoint. Big and open the beer selection is laid out in a straight line once you come in. There were a few things I couldn’t get back home and a lot of selection otherwise. Found a couple of things I wanted. Prices were reasonable enough. Selection here is pretty solid, amongst the best I’ve seen in NJ. If you’re passing through the area it’s probably worth a stop.
Large liquor place with several aisles and coolers of beer. Good for getting a complete selection available in New Jersey. Some single beottles, but they are fairly gracious about others. Almost no service, the people do not know the beers. The cashiers cash you out and you do all the shlepping to the counter, the guy would not even pull the bottles out to scan from the box. Prices in line with other places. I liked the complete lines of places from Flying fish, etc. so I can finally get that IPA, etc.
This a large liquor store conveniently located close to the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City. Parking is ample and the store is actually a huge warehouse. The selection is extremely good with beer classified by country of origins. There is also a huge amount of singles to buy as well as some six packs. Service is good if required though everything is on the shelves. Prices are good for most of the selection except for the imports (and the Bruery beers) but I am sure this is reflective of the price points in most liquor store across the country. Definitely a place that I would recommend if you ever pass by Jersey City.
