Utah State Liquor Store #30 - Layton

Oh, Utah ... such a weird state for beer nerds. But thank God for some amazing goodness at the state liquor stores, where you can buy beers with ABVs above 5% ... and ... AND ... they let you break 4/6-packs to buy singles!!! The selection isn't vast necessarily, but if you're in town from out of town and have a few days to kill in a hotel during a droll business trip, definitely swing by the closest State Liquor Store and grab a few samples at very, VERY fair prices (cheap even!). Then go relax in your Holiday Inn Express Suite, cool and enjoy later! Friendly staff, too!

I’m almost positive I’ve reviewed this store but anyways. Similar to the other State Stores. A decent selection of beer, but less selection than some of the others.

Suburban stand-alone box store near WalMart, etc. Had an OK selection of imports, though it seemed more German lagers than British or Belgian ales. Average selection of Western US and Canadian micros, along with typical foreign and domestic macros. A few gems, like Uinta XIII Anniversary barleywine. One plus is everything is available in singles.
