Smaller spot, with a big bar and a few tables, the namesake brew system in the back corner. Service was decent, friendly enough, but definitely seems to cater to the local hipster crowd. Selection was ok, about 8-10 of their own beers, from mediocre to average. If you're in Madison for more than a couple days, it may be worth a stop.
Comfortable (if tight) space that seemed popular with locals. Unfortunately, beers on offer were limited in number and generally lacked quality. Sample sizes were available, but came at a hefty premium. Service was surly enough that I was happy to keep my visit short. Overall, not a place that I’d recommend to visitors. Only worth checking out if you’re on a deep dive of the local scene.
Want to rate this higher. Very nice visit. Service was great. Limited selection of 9 beers on tap and a few guest taps. Beers were well made. Would visit again. Check out the cieling. Tasters were 4 for $10.
Corner place, street parking within a couple of blocks. Long J-shaped bar, and you can buy your own stool for $4500. Solid beer selection and a few ciders, and staff had good recommendations. Food seemed mainly to be pretzels, but there were probably other things as well. Worth a look.
A small brewery with a wooden bar and high tops surrounding it. Service was good with a single bartender keeping the beer flowing for a rather large crowd. They had 12 beers on tap with samplers available. No food available but prices were good. A pretty cool small brewery with solid beers.
Like a friendly neighborhood bar, but with good beer. Eclectic recipes and selections. Friendly bartender. Some food selections but we didn’t eat. (sorry but the tacos next door are can’t miss) Would love to have a place like this within walking distance.
This is a great nano-brewery in the East Side of Madison Wi. Small but tight selection of beers. By far as good of beer as you are going to find in Madison, or anywhere else. They may be small, but the motion of their ocean is great. Their server Brianna was a delight!
