80 About the best you are going to be able to do in this city. Good selection of belgian and other imports. Lacking on american, but that’s okay. They have orval which impressed me enough. Expect to pay american prices though $7-$9 per bottle, in comparison to only $1 for the local swill. Small little cozy spot. In america, this would have a bad score, but here in the philippines, it’s trump palace. |
90 A lot of beer variety! |
66 What’s not to love about this place? It’s located in a seedy section of Makati and is surrounded by massage parlours and bordello/bars and there are prostitutes and scammers selling counterfeit watches and viagra, prowling the local streets. The place actually doesn’t open until 5pm and when I went none of the three taps were working. The atmosphere was nice (inside the bar) and the service was great. They have a nice selection of Belgians and even had Stone, Southern Tier, Rogue, and Ballast Point brews! The prices were a bit steep 300-350 pesos per 12 ouncer which is about 7-8 dollars, but that is kind of expected given the location. |
82 Great place to try different types of imported beers. They serve beer in their corresponding glasses. Friendly staff. |
32 Just thought I’d add a beer place in Manila. Good pubs here are few and far between. This place is alright, serves Hoegaarden, St. Louis Kriek and some other Belgian pils on tap. They have 100+ Belgian beers on bottle which includes trappist beers (all except the Westy). No San Miguel! |
