I really like what this place has become. There’s a nice balance between neighborhood/irish pub and craft haven. Jesse, the owner/GM has ben putting a great deal of thought into his draught selections. There’s always a cariety of styles, flavors and brands. Whether you’re looking for sweet, sour, hop or malt bombs, you’ll find something here. I regularly see the draft tech in cleaning lines which tells you just how committed Poor Henry’s has become to the cause. The burgers are a staple for me, but I can also confidently recommend the sliced steak, crab cakes, and chicken pot pie. The garlic sauteed broccoli is bangarang. Stop in on a Sunday night for bottle share. All the servers are friendly, whether you’re in for the first time or 100th. They try hard to make you feel welcomed and move you in and out quickly at lunch time. Worth a visit.

Update: They have added some draft lines. Have had at least 1 tap takeover. Haven’t found anything too rare, but solid craft is on now.

Old rating :As previously stated, they are trying to move in the right direction. However 1 or 2 drafts for real craft isn’t enough. Also curious how long some of these beers sit.

Stop the presses! Henry’s just added 12 more taps! There are now 23 of which 18 are craft beers! They just finished installing them this week. The first beer list is amazing...with the likes of Maine Beer Lunch & Wild Beer M. O.. Check it out soon! (original review): Nice local restaurant that has become more interested in craftbeers. There are currently about 5 micros out of about 11 taps but talking to one of the managers...there is a plan to add more micro taps in the next 6 months or so. The food is good and hearty...not gourmet or anything...but considering the high value...certainly a good choice for dinner and a beer (or just a beer) if a local...or if passing through.
