(Visited 04/2015): Giant Eagleís North Canton location is in a shopping plaza on the corner of Maple and Market. There is a large parking lot in front of the store.

They have recently added a growler station with around 6 taps in the cafe on the left side of the store, where they fill pints as well. Breweries like Great Lakes, Canton Brewing and Brooklyn are regularly on tap. The bottled and canned options are on the right end of the store both on shelves and in coolers, segmented geographically for the most part. Many Ohio breweries are included like Brew Kettle, Thirsty Dog, Rhinegeist, Columbus Brewing and Fat Headís. Many other domestic and imported craft beer and Meads as well. There is a limited selection of make-your-own six-pack bottles too.

Service is about what you would expect for a chain grocery store. The guy at the growler station was very friendly although not too knowledgeable about the beers he was pouring, and I am typically asked if I need any help while browsing bottles.

I havenít had any of the cafe food at Giant Eagle.

Overall this store stocks a pretty good beer list both on tap and in bottles for a grocery and I can usually find something worthwhile.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Winking Lizard across the parking lot. Of course, it has itís own dedicated parking lot, so that should never be an issue. The beer, liquor, and wine section has itís own store entrance. The beer section has about 3 aisles, a walk in cooler, and access to maybe 10 cooler doors. The selection was alright, with the highlights being a small selection of Timmermanís lambics and maybe 30 beers available for mixed six packs. Most of their selection is tied up in full six packs. Their selection was alright, but I couldnít find enough I wanted to be able to build a six pack, so left with nothing.

Some craft six packs, mostly from Great Lakes, Stone, Sierra Nevada, Harpoon, and Dogfish Head. Unibroue and occasionally Founders can be found on a little unrefrigerated shelf in front of the liquor store. Walk-in cooler has a few bombers, from Stone, Samuel Smith, Chimay, and Ommegang. But, if youíre in the area and looking for a better beer selection, Erikís Grocery Bag is only a minute or two west on Easton/Maple.

I find it kind of difficult to rate the ambiance/food of a grocery store. However, I was pleasantly surprised by some of their selections. They had some Stone, Bells, Hoppin Frog and others. Itís not a liquor store, so I wasnít expecting too much, but turned out they had more than I thought they would. Price wasnít bad either.

Pretty mediocre selection. A regular run of the mill grocery store with a very small corner of the beer selection reserved for the micros. Only have six packs really unless you step into the walk-in cooler where you can find 750s of Chimay and some shitty German Warsteiner bombers. Mostly they have Great Lakes, Magic Hat, Rogue and some Bells. Did have some randomly good standouts like Three Philisophers. Itís not the beer destination by any means in Canton but then again neither is Canton.
