This place gets bonus points because it is in Panama. This location is close to the old city. We sat outside, but there isn’t much of a view. Inside the brewing equipment is visible and it has a typical brewpub feel to it. The beers were fine if a little light, with a pils, a pale, a white and a porter available. Panama City isn’t a great beer geek place, so your brewpub options are limited. If you go all the way there you should stop on the way to tour the old city.

Small but high ceilinged, well lit place with tables out on the street, same 3 brews available as the other location, but this place has the vats and other equipmen for brewing. Same poor food menu, good service though. Nice atmosphere, place to go in Panama City

The real draw here is the brewery itself and the Casco Viejo location. We got a tour by the asst brewer and met the brewmaster. Smaller pub area than the Cangrejo location and a more limited food selection: basically just munchies and pizza, but the pizza is excellent! While Casco Viejo is an interesting area that is in the process of being revitalized, keep in mind that there are still some sketchy areas here so be aware if you go for a stroll. That said there is lots of interesting old architecture here and if you are in for a longer walk the fish market and Cinta Costera green belt.

On the water’s edge of Casco Viejo with a patio overlooking the noisy traffic and onto the bay. A dozen 4-top tables on the patio with large umbrellas to protect from the afternoon downpours. A few steps into the ground floor of the historic building, Circular wooden tables with small brown padded stools. View through mostly glass wall into the stainless steel DME brewhouse. Partial second floor with stacks for sacked grain. Rugged looks with wooden window covers. 10-place modern dark wood bar that includes a brass foot rail. Brown padded bar stools. Silent flatscreen TV on wall showing english Premier League football. Large grey metal HVAC vents against high ceiling. Golden frog tap handles. Dark wood bar-back. Subdued lighting from ceiling lamps.. All non-smoking! Growlers to go and logo’d pint glasses for sale. A great entry or exit stop for visiting Casco Viejo. And some of the best pizza in town.
