A very impressive bar with a great patio area that completely made us forget the construction going on in the adjacent lot. Excellent tap menu, better than Papagoís during our visit. Clean, modern, well-laid out interior. Spacey, clean place, almost in contrast with its pale and stoney exterior that has been outdated for a few decades. Simple food menu, but with nice Mexican touches and daily creativity. Everything was friendly priced and very tasty. Iíd eat there anytime for simple and well-executed, satisfying meals. Pleasant atmosphere, heterogeneous, but warm crowd in the trendiest neighborhood in town. Solid service. Moreish experience.
Visited for dinner later on a Thursday night. Easy to find in just outside central Phoenix. Parking in a lot next to the building or on the street. Larger dining room as you enter, with a long 12 seat bar and additional seating on the back patio. Drink selection is 6 draft wines, 31 craft beers, fairly wide focus on beers from the Western US - had beers from Telegraph and Iron Fist that I hadnít seen at other Phoenix bars. Beers are pints, or 6 x 3oz beer taster trays ($9). Crowlers were also available. Bar food menu was creative and playful, burrito I had was solid. Attentive service, good vibe for a Thursday night.
76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
Impressive bar with an extensive tap selection. Interior has modern decor that is dimly lit. You can order flights of any 6 for $9, a hell of a deal considering some of the great beers they had. The tap list is less AZ focused than other places. Service is super friendly and quick as hell. Mandatory stop when in town - conveniently located in the downtown.
Finally visited for an early Sunday dinner. Even at this bucolic hour, the place was pretty full. The crowd was polite but energetic. The dog-friendly patio is pretty nice. The service was OK, although I was surprised the server didnít know the beers very well. Their chalk board might list, for example, "American Pale Ale" or "Iconic,l a double IPA ... But the Brewers arenít reflected and she couldnít tell us whose beers they were. But all told, between the sturdy draft lineup, nice setting and excellent food, this place is deserving of its high ratings.
The best in central town. Got there just after 2pm till 5pm s not crowded, and enjoyed the $3 happy hour offering on one of three beers. The other 28 were not reduced. Had the strengths and origins written on the boards behind the bar and in the nice yard out the back. Included 2 from Hawaii, a few from WA, MT, and CO, but mostly AZ and CA. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. A little pricy as some pours came in small glasses, but clearly marked. Food not too exciting really and a few $ more than expected for the quality. Still, should definitely be on your short-list for the city.
Stopped by to meet up with Dak. Cool spot. Didnít try the food, but it looked good. Friendly owner. Seemed like way more than 31 taps, and the selection was AZ centric with a lot of stuff that you do not see in SoCal. Enjoyable. Parking seemed a bit small for the size of the place. Enjoyable stop.
A pretty cool place that has outdoor seating with cornhole available to play. I was there pretty early in the afternoon on a weekday, so it wasnít so crowded. The service was good and friendly. You can get growler fills and also 1 L cans filled. The tap list is pretty good and has mostly American craft, but there was also Japanese and Belgian beers there when I went. A pretty good place for a beer or two. They also had spam sliders, which made me laugh a little.
Central Phoenix 2nd street location walkable from downtown. Minimalist modern gastropub with 30 taps that seem to change rapidly. Styles are represented well and the kitchen puts together some good dishes. Fish tacos with avocado mash and spicy cole slaw to go with a Pivo Pils from draft. Happy times.
