Located on kind of a dodgy block somewhere in the depths of Pittsburgh’s soul. You’ll have to bring your own parking space of the tiny lot behind the bar is full. They had 60-65 taps split between obvious Belgian entries and local and regional craft. Prices are fairly high in draft and bombers. They have food but it’s not exactly a strength of the chain. I can’t say this is a must visit place.

This is my favorite Sharp Edge location, located in East Liberty. Parking can be a little tricky - all street parking, no lot. They have a sick amount of taps (50 sounds about right). Although they do have about 20 Belgian offerings, there actually are more American taps. If you are looking exclusively for Belgians, you need to hit up the Downtown location. For American beers, this is the place to go. Their selection is nothing spectacular - they don’t seem to have as good stuff as Fat Head’s or Smokin Joes, but they have enough to take care of you. Largely local offerings, stuff like Weyerbacher, Drai Laag, East End, Smuttynose, Lavery, Finch’s, Troegs, Victory, and plenty of others. They don’t really have a happy hour special, I think only one beer has the happy hour pricing. The menus are slightly different between locations, fairly solid pub offerings (burgers, pizza, salads, sandwiches). There are lots of TVs and this is definitely a great place to watch a game. It always seems to be packed, no matter what time you get there. Service can be slow at times, only because it gets so busy and the bartenders are constantly filling drinks. Overall, a great beer bar in Pittsburgh.

This is the place to go if you want belgians on tap. If you don’t go for happy hour it can be a bit pricey.

A couple friends from Pittsburgh took my wife and I here to catch the end of the Cards-Braves 1-game playoff, so we sat at the bar and had a great spot. The place is fairly typical in layout and design, lots of booths and tables and wood and neons. There were quite a few tap handles, probably about 50, as is listed here. Tons of locals and regionals. Prices are in the $5-$6 range for most drafts, and a sampler option is available, 4 4-oz. pours for $12. We didn’t have any food. The bartenders were attentive. Overall, really solid beer bar and I would definitely recommend a visit if you’re in Pittsburgh.

Nice clean place with their own parking lot on the side. Good selection of belgian taps. The bartender was very knowledgeable. I bought a mixed six pack, but for over $20 for there cheaper selections I would pass. Place is expensive, but they have happy hours.

Visited several years back. Kept a good memory of the place, especially the Belgian-minded menu, had a delicious Brewers Platter with the rest being very pub oriented. Location was welcoming with a nice craft / draft selection along with bottles. This was several years ago but I am sure the whole thing has changed with the whole craft beer boom effect.

Go for the beer but don’t expect the wait staff to be very helpful.

Yaaaaay Sharp Edge! This place was my introduction to real beer. I just moved back to Pittsburgh and went there last night for the first time in over six years. Even better than I remembered. Great Belgian selection, yummy food, good folks.
