Think of Otto’s as an encased meat emporium...a sausage super bowl...and a links lover’s paradise! I rarely mention other reviewers but I have to wonder why the previous reviewer says only good things in their review...not one negative...and scores this place a 54. This place is a 78-86 depending on your love of great sausage...but given also that this is Portland...they have some great beers on tap and for sale and you can drink them outside where the world famous hot dogs are being grilled. How is this not an 80+ rating (unless you don’t like encased meats or craftbeer of course...lol!). At the end of the day...amazing 80 year old German deli with grilled food and craftbeer available on site to eat inside or out...and really amazing service and smiles!

Decent size deli known for its meats and "top 10 hot dogs." I had a hot dog and it really was very good. The sauces were also from Deschutes, etc. As for the beers, a few on tap, and some more in the fridges. Decent , local selection in an underserved part of Portland.

Otto’s is home to one of the top 10 hot dogs in america, by at least 3 national sources. The make all of their sausages (I’m especially fond of the smoked links, the tuscan chicken, and the bockwurst. They make some awesome multi-meat sandiwches, and there are 3 kinds of dogs cooking on the outside grill. Decent beer selection, with about 1/4 of the beers from germany. People working here aer very friendly, especially the owner, Gretchen, who always seems to be there. And by the backdoor you can see people bringing in deer, elk and salmon to be butchers and/or smoked. Every neighborhood should have one.
