Great spot, great location and a good list of beers! this total wine tends to have more of the new releases as well as the main beers everyone loves! i do wish that total wines had more of a micro brewery selection. But i mostly go to the neighborhood beer stores to find special/rare beers. good spot if your just in town looking to get some good relatively inexpensive beer.

62 Nearest joint with the best combination of selection and prices. I do the custom six-pack from a good selection of singles every week or two. Lots of NC beers of course and usually a few surprises as well. Would like to see a bit more from Germany/Austria and some more stouts. Have not found a better place close by here in north Raleigh. |
70 A decent TW that I occasionally visited while working for Wyeth in Cary circa 2005. |
68 Another Total Wine. This one did have a guy that could chat about beer. |
56 AMBIANCE - Superstore non-biance. Kind of unorganized. SERVICE - I’ve never been impressed with their beer knowledge. They’ll help you find stuff but that’s about it. SELECTION - With so much stuff, if you like beer there’s no way you can’t find plenty to take home, and if you want quantity you’re in luck. They do have lots of low-rated stuff that never seems to sell. Seems like they always have a few off-the-wall bombers though, and the singles selection is nice. VALUE - If there’s one thing they have going for them it’s the prices. The main reason to come here. OVERALL - Who wouldn’t prefer a trip to Sam’s or Bestway? But I feel like I have to hit TW every now and then, just to take advantage of the prices and the sheer amount of stuff they stock. |
72 The ambiance is what you’d expect from a superstore. Service, at least in the beer section, was non existant. Cashier was pleasant though. Tremendous selection of singles IMO. Prices were pretty competitive with most places in the area. Selection is much greater than most places in the area that I’ve been to. |
52 Stopped here while I had some time to kill. Parking is OK. Prices are OK. Typical Total Wine beer setup but there seemed to be a few more options than at others I’ve seen. Staff was helpful when I asked but otherwise may not have existed. As with all Total Wines, this is a good place to stock up on nothing special. |
74 Good selection and singles are available in almost all beers. Servece at the checkout is all that I can comment on as there was no one in the beer section. Hard to tell the value as I can’t compare but any place with this kind of selection is great value to me irrespective of price! |
80 Of the Total Wine’s I have vistied in North Carolina and Virginia this is the best. Large portion of the store is devoted to beer compared to other Total Wine’s. Prices are good; singles and bombers are available. Not the best place in the Triangle to buy beer (that honor still goes to Sam’s) but if you don’t want to drive to Durham this Total Wine will certainly do just fine to satisfy your beer craving. |
54 One of the best Total Wine stores as far as beer goes. They have a small but decent selection, and lots of singles. I had no problem picking out a sixer of singles that I had never had before, and they have a decent number of highly rated beers. |
