62 2017-07-02. Cramped downstairs, the brewing equipment occupies much of the main floor with most seats squeezed between the equipment and the bar. Empty when we arrived on Sunday afternoon/evening. Decent tap list, only a couple of their own beers. The rest of the taps are other Prairie micros. Beer was just okay, their house made alcoholic root beer was decent but under carbonated. Kind of a wierd space and an odd vibe, but pretty okay for a random stop we happened to walk by on our way somewhere else! |
66 Re rate. The place has shrunk. They have a small downstairs area with a larger upstairs area. Their own beer still isn’t good but their other taps are decent. Steam whistle and delerium tremens and leffee blonde I remember being on tap. I can enjoy a pint of those for 5 bucks each.
Review based off of 3 visits. Relaxed atmosphere, fairly loud music each time. 6 TV’s I think. We had to ask them to put on football during the NFL playoffs. They claim to be a sports bar. Upstairs available for extra seating, I haven’t seen it in use or needed. Own beers run you $5 each. Beer is not very good. I will put up reviews of each one soon. Food was good once and is very fairly priced. Service was bad, mediocre and good. They have decent specials not listed on the website. Location is easy to get to and parking is easy to find. |
62 Odd and confusing layout, with music and movies everywhere. Trying too hard to be funky. Only 2 of their beers on tap and the rest macro. Only pints, but they do have wifi. Didn’t eat. Beer was sub par, but cheap. |
44 I really wanted to like this place. I like the "Slow Food Philosophy", they have some very good specials, their prices include all taxes and they have very catchy marketing for their brews. Unfortunately, their beers are so bad I can’t finish them. Their food and service can vary from very good to very bad. They do have a pretty good selection of Craft and Import beers on tap and in bottles/cans though so they are worth checking out for that. |
64 Service was good, though the waitress wasn’t particularly knowledgable about beer, but I’m finding that’s the case in a lot of places. The food was unique, quality stuff, and came quickly considering the place is called "slow" food. I actually enjoyed their beers quite a bit. They also have bottles available for purchase. |
