15 taps: Speedway stout vietnemese, bottle lovic brewing, Deschutes Abyss, the Lost Abbey Cuvee de Tommee, Modern times etc. right now. And some special bottle realeses from the Bruery, Deschutes in 4 frigiders. Prices are higher than average.
We drove from San Francisco without a turn-by-turn navigation, our plan was to buy one at Walmart here in Rohnert Park. I knew there was a bottle shop nearby and I actually spotted it from highway 101. Beer goes before Garmin! This was for sure an interesting place. Local craft beers both on tap and bombers in the fridges. Pretty good bottle selection, but no beers from Russian River. Mostly bombers and hardly any 12oz singles. (As always...) The small bar in the rear was impressive. Ambience? Well, itís quite simple setup and more like a tasting area than hanging out in a local bar. On the other hand, the tap list was awesome. Lots of interesting, local breweries represented. But I didnít drink any beer, I just purchased some bottles. Service was fine and it was well worth stopping here. (Visited June 30th 2016)
Visited 03/02/16. Located by te main highway into Santa Rosa about a 10-15 minute drive south. In a modern block of uniform looking buildings Beer Craft is a bottle shop come taproom. Really solid choices on both tap and in the 3 or 4 bottle fridges. The likes of SARA and Almanac were present on tap during our visit. Nice bottle selection too ... a new Fifty Fifty Eclipse for me, Ballast Point rareties, and others of note. Service fine but one of those annoying rules where you can only drink behind the line near the bar, and not browse the bottle fridges with your beer ! Prices a little high - saw some of the same offerings for 15/20% less elsewhere on this visit to CA.
Overall its definitely worth the stop.
Iíve heard about this place for awhile now (thanks to JoeT), but never actually stopped in. I guess I was a little surprised at the location, but whatever...it works fine.
The entrance leads you into the storefront portion of the business with all the bottles. In the rear is the tasting area/bar with a couple handfuls of draft offerings that are quite solid.
The beer here is excellent. Great bottle selection, great draft list, and really friendly, knowledgeable people. Itís not necessarily a great place to hang out in, but there has been some serious thought and effort put into the beers.
A rather nifty bottle shop cum taproom. The selection of both the bottles and the keg taps was excellent, with a particularly strong showing - not surprisingly - of California breweries. I really had to restrain myself from buying more bottles than I did, because the range is really quite awesome. Although, prices were a touch high, so itís probably for the best that I didnít have any more suitcase space. The ambiance is fairly sterile, but I wouldnít expect anything special of this kind of setup. The beers are neatly laid out, and many/most are refrigerated. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall, this is a great spot to pick up some bottles and have a draft beer as well. Highly recommended.
Small store / tap room with a pretty well curated selection. Thereís probably only 100-150 bottles available, but most things were pretty interesting. The tap list in the back bar was pretty great. I had choice pours from the likes of SARA, Almanac etc. The staff seemed pretty knowledgeable. The only draw back was that prices seemed a higher than comparable stores in the area. Overall, this place is certainly worth checking out. Recommended.
Storefront bottle shop-bar in a strip mall of 101 in Rohnert Park. We hit it between Petaluma and Santa Rosa. Good tap list, but you canít carry pints around the shop; thereís a dividing line between the small bar area and the bottle area that canít be crossed. Probably a stupid state law. The bottle shop doesnít have a ton of bottles but a well-curated selection. Good prices on the taps; the bottles run a little higher, but not high for the area. Seems like a place youíd have to be a regular at to get the most out of - judging based on the limited floor selection, attentive staff, constantly rotating tap list, etc. But itís worth a visit if youíre in the area, even as a traveler.
In a bit of a weird industrial area, out of town but very close to the 101. Very nicely nerdy place though. Solid bottle selection to go, even if some of them were a bit pricy. Nice draft selection with a couple of SARA brews on (which I didnít see in Santa Rosa otherwise). Small pours and pints available at a fair price. Charming little place. Friendly.
Out of town and in a strip, this is not pretty or convenient. It does however reek of beer geekdom. Beer selection is pretty good and taps are better. I was hoping from the hype this would be the mecca of craft in the area, but was a little let down. They do small pours and have limited seating.
