80 Visited on a Monday evening in late January 2017. I liked this place, it was fairly relaxed and with a good service. The selection was also good, I had five new ones during the visit. Located not that far from my hotel, Holiday Inn Express. |
86 A favourite in the Gas lamp area. I counted 32 beers on draft including Stone Enjoy By 4/2016 and Ballast Point Coconut Victory at Sea and Pineapple Sculpin, all of which were excellent. Food was also very good. |
74 Pleasant little pub in Gaslamp district. Stopped in for dinner, and found that they had a pretty good beer list. A bit noisy, with rock on the sound system and sports TVs going. Mixed crowd of locals and tourists, 20s-40s. 32 beers on tap, almost exclusively US craft. Flights of four 5-oz. glasses come in four varieties. The bartender selects the beers in the first three: Locals Only for $8; Hop Lovers for $9; and Belgian Strong for $10. The Create Your Own flight costs $10. Very passable pub grub menu. |
80 Definitely a good option if you’re downtown with no transportation. Nice selection that is heavy on local drafts. Food was solid too. |
68 A decent spot in the Gaslamp with a good (but not great) selection of draft offerings and prices that are just a tad high. Tasters are available at $10 for a set of 4 x 4oz pours, which is a bit higher than you’ll usually find around San Diego. Although, this is in a relatively touristy area, so the prices should be expected. Draft selection focuses on SD County beers, with a handful of other egional selections. Visitors should have no problem finding new things to try, whereas locals would probably only find one or two new ones. Not a bad place to stop if you’re sightseeing downtown, but not worth going out of your way for. |
78 A pretty solid beer bar in the touristy area of town. Fairly polished but not over the top refined. A good and wide range of styles available on tap. From golden ales, to stouts, to sours. there weren’t many others there when I stopped by on a Sunday night and they were training a new bartender, but service was still very nice. A good option in the area. |
74 Visited the 8th February 2015 - A cool place in downtown. Good selection on tap for reasonable price. The atmosphere is nice and not so noisy. The food is ok also with reasonable price. A nice place but not at the best. |
64 Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday. Place was mostly empty. Had a decent burger and a flight or two. Beer selection was good, but not great. Food was the same. Worth a visit if you are in the area and need lunch. |
