Came on a Thursday at about 230, packed!!!. Open setup, long bar with plenty of seating options. Service friendly (minus chick at door) good for a chat & quick. Selection was great for my taste buds. Takeaway options & merchandise good as well
I have nothing new to add to the previous ratings and descriptions. Walked right in and was immediately seated on a Friday night - party of four. The food was fantastic and I couldnít believe it when I saw Beatification, Consecration and Supplication listed on the board. I ignored the huge flight that was offered and drank no Pliny the Elder that night. I drank those three sour ales all night long.
Waited many long years to finally get here. Worth the wait. Everyone I ever talked to complained about the wait to get inside, so that was my initial expectation. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and when we got there we were told that there were 16 groups in front of us and that it would be about 45 minutes. No big deal at all, especially since we got called for our table after just 20 minutes. Iíve heard all about the legendary sampler tray here, but I opted for the half pints of some of the stuff Iíd never seen before. My stop came in the height of fresh hop, which worked out nicely. The beers were all great. Ordered pizza and wings. Iím so happy that this place has some solid pub grub. Less is more when it comes to brewery food if you ask me. Though they took the basics and made them incredible. Tried a half dozen beers during my visit, and took home a mixed case of beer from their bottle to go. A small store at the front entrance with anything Russian River marked you could ever need. Staff was incredible. They have a great job. They get to hang out with people who love great beer from all over the world every day. Any question you could possibly have about RR, or any beer Iím sure, they had a solid answer. I could say a hundred great things about this place, but Iím sure itís all been said before. Needless to say, itís a must stop.
Crowded, had to wait a while to get in on a regular working day afternoon. Great selection of Russian River beers, and a very cool sample menu. They didnít have my favorites on bottle, but got them on growlers instead. Great.
Visiting Russian River Brewing was a kind of a beer pilgrimage for me. I had really been looking forward to this visit. A brisk, 25 minutes walking from Best Western Garden Inn, was part of this pilgrimage. I did not meet anyone else walking in Santa Rosa Ave. I guess people driving by thought: "You crazy foreign tourist!" When I arrived, the brewpub was packed. No seating inside or outside. I guess itís always like this. But, a couple of minutes hanging around the bar, I got a seat. Just what I wanted, siting at the bar. I did the flight with all 19 beers. Awesome! I split the flight in two parts, didnít want all 19 3oz glasses at the same time. First "Californian Ales" (hoppy) and the "Belgian inspired Ales" Staff were superfriendly and attentive. I also had a nice chat with one of the local patrons sitting next to me, who happend to be of Norwegian descent . A small shop adjacent offered bottles to go, growlers, t-shirts and other Russian River merchandise. I did my order at the bar: a t-shirt, two bottles Pliny the Elder (super fresh!), Sonoma Pride Amasa, Sonoma Pride Dauenhauer, Sanctification and a bunch of coasters for free. (Visited June 30th 2016)
