The biomarkt opened in December 2011. The food apart (if you are a bio food fanatic this place will surely keep you occupied long enough and take your money) The beer selection is quite good and what the best they are quite cheap (no bio extra on the prices) Good selection of local and some other bio beers. Worth checking out, altough apart from Potsdam Manufactur and Pinkus Hefeweizen the beers are really bad. But don’t buy out all the Pinkus Hefeweizen ;) Service is really bad. You’ll find that out if you want recycle a bottle.

Place opened not too long ago, a rapidly expanding chain, only seem to have locations outside the Ring, though. Well, until this one. Anyway, a typical bio/health food store with a handful of things interesting to foodies, but otherwise pretty standard. The beer selection is small but has a lot of ticks beyond general supermarket fare: the full line of Neumarkter beers, the Braumanufaktur beers from Potsdam (I’ve only seen in Bio Company and the burbs), the full line of Glossner and Altdorfer, and most from Pinkus (including the Altbier). Non-essential, but if you’re in the western part of the city and want non- or low-alcohol beers (including four worty malt beverages), or spelt or bio beers, this is probably your best bet.

Insider tip: this area has a ton of restaurants and local bars to check out (start with Akazienstraße), and if you follow Vorbergstraße for two minutes from here to the church, you’ll find a good Getränkemarkt (Hoffmann, with at least fifty German beers worth rating) right across from an excellent cafe (Gottlob).
