Hidden in a side street of residential Steglitz, it is worth the detour. Real ales from England and Scottland on offer, traditional pub food, amazing location, friendly service. Will def come back more often

This pub is one of the few places in Germany that serves British real ale from a traditional hand pump. When I visited in October 2018, there were two real ales on and one craft ale from the keg plus a craft lager. Service is friendly. The pub is not huge and seating is a bit limited, plus the owners are quite fussy about not allowing people to stand. If there is no room in the main room, and you don't want to sit in the smoking area, then you are not welcome. There is a decent bottle list in addition to the beers on tap, comprising lots of traditional bitters and golden ales plus a few stouts, porters and other stuff. As others have said, this place has an absolutely massive whisky list. Food menu is limited but of decent quality. Prices are reasonable. Worth a visit for sure, if you are with a larger group then would suggest to call ahead and reserve a table.

Sicherlich kein normaler Pub.

Great pub in Berlin/Steglitz. Wonderful selection of Scottish beers, both on tap and in bottles. Waitress was very helpful (in English!) when we asked which whiskey to have (they have HUNDRENDS to choose from!). Food was standard pub fare. A nice change of pace when in Berlin, especially if you don’t want a hefeweizen!

I assume this is the largest selection of British ales you will find anywhere in Germany. They are as serious about the ale as they are about the whiskies, and there are 741 of those. Even at mid-week there was a cask ale on handpump, and a few more served via light keg pressure -- beggars can’t be choosers here, and they went down very nicely thanks. Dark Star Partridge Best Bitter was there, with Cairngorm Black Gold on cask. I believe about 60 more bottled real ales. Most were €4.50. There is food but I didn’t peek. It’s a cozy corner pub with a separate smoking room, cigar smokers welcome. Everyone welcome.

The couple that runs the place is very friendly and passionate about everything Scottish, hence the amazing selection of whisky and some very interesting (finally non-German!) beers. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Large selection of Scottish (and some English) ales, affectionately served. Honest bar food. Very relaxing on a summer evening to sit in the garden under the trees (and NOT under one of those ghastly giant parasols that remorselessly darken many a German beer garden). We are almost looking forward to wintertime, to have our stout by the fireside.

Major find, culchiem! The British beers here are virtually unseen in Berlin (and all of Germany that I know, come to think of it) and some include the CAMRA stamp of approval, but the winner is the collection of over 400 kinds of whisky. Super comfortable, familial setting, a corner bar with an somewhat stylish living room where the people really know their booze and love to talk about it. Even the room for smokers doesn’t feel like the prison cell it does in many places, and as a non-smoker, I was happy there wasn’t any leeching. Great vibe for me.

A small pub in the Steiglitz area. Specialises in Scottish whisky, 429 on the menu, but has a very decent selection of Scottish beers in bottle and tap. Also has the standard English craft beers in bottle. The place itself looks like it was formerly a retail shop. Subdued decor with a very impressive whisky display behind the bar. Staff are excellent, you can really see it is a passion. Each bottle comes out on a tray and is opened at the table. While I was typing the the barman came over to explain the best way to pour my Angus Ol Ale. Food is standard bar fare. A very nice find, Berlin needs more places like this
