74 Pekko is a very cozy place. The building is old and beautiful and the interior is nice. The beer selection is good. It’s not very large, but the quality it very good. The selection changes regularly so there is always something interesting to try. There isn’t much beer that you could find anywhere.
The service is always very good, but the knowledge depends on who’s behind the desk. The owner is there quite often and knows his selection. Other times the knowledge isn’t that good.
They also serve food, but because they don’t have a real kitchen the quality is just ok. I wouldn’t come here for food, but chicken wings and fries are ok as a snack with beer. |
70 Visited on a gloomy November night... It’s not as dark and grim as the website shows...
Small it is but there seems to be space for an occasional visitor.
Beer selection is limited... quite limited indeed.. but it’s high in quality. I saw some bottles I haven’t seen in other Tampere establishments.
Yes, it’s in the middle of nowhere but still it’s worth a visit or two. |
70 A bit far aside from city center, no other pubs nearby. Still worth a visit as there are occasionally some bottles available not found anywhere else in the city. Friendly service and rarely crowded. |
82 In the middle of the "car sales district" of Tampere, a few km from the center of town. The pub is usually very quiet and friendly, even during the live sports events. It also acts as an hotel, so if you’re visiting Tampere this would be a good stay. |
