Huh. This place is a fucking disaster. Probably the dumpiest liquor store I have yet walked into in terms of organization, display and general laziness. There is beer on shelves, on the floors, in boxes, pretty much crammed into every open space. There is a huge lineup of bottles on the floor sporting a thick coating of dust, "organized" such that you have to play balancing games to even see what is there. There were things on the shelves that haven’t been made in years, which might be nice if they were gems, but not so much. They do have a pretty massive collection of Eastern European beers; great place to go for Armenian or Estonian ticks, but beyond that steer clear. Guy did seem helpful, but honestly he would be far better served using his ample free time (I was the only person in the store during my visit), to clean up and organize a bit.
Friendly clerk. Spotted a number of bottles here I haven’t seem elsewhere in the area. However the shelves were very messy, no organization whatsoever, no upkeep, many things mislabeled or unlabeled. Many outdated beers that should have been drastically discounted or taken off the shelf. Would be so much better if someone was taking care of this place.
Typical college liquor store vibe but half the store is filled with beer. It’s stuffed tithe gills full of beer with the European stuff mostly in the middle and the local and regional craft in the coolers. They also sell singles out of any of their six packs. Prices were reasonable. True they don’t have the selection of Tops nearby but they’re a hell of a lot nicer.
Awesome place in a small strip mall. Kind of looks like a typical liquor store from the outside but once inside you will find a large beer selection. Good, friendly, service although we were the only ones in there. Large selection of local micros, domestic micros and imports. Lots of 22oz and 750ml on shelves with coolers stocked with 6 packs, almost all 6 packs can be broken up for single purchases. Value seemed really good on most stuff. This place is definitely worth a stop to load up on some bottles to go.
Finally made it in here. Friendly helpful staff to answer any and all questions. The space is nearly half craft beer where the room temperature isles are very neat and orderly. I saw lots of imports where my eye was drawn to about ten Mikkeller offerings and more like twenty from Brewdog. They even have Brewdog cardboard like 4-packs that I’ve never seen before. There are lots of western US offerings from all the key players and including a pleasing array from the Bruery. Along the edges of the space are the coolers with plenty more craft beer to choose from. The prices here are middle of the road or even slightly low and the selection is a little different but basically on par with Tops and Sun Devil. This is worth a side trip if you’re already in the Tempe/Mesa area.
The staff are always helpful (more so than the employees at Tops have been to me) and their prices are remarkably slim and almost half what they are at any other liquor store in the area. Whenever Tops, or, for that matter, Sun Devil, is out of a specific bottle, I go straight to these guys and oftentimes I will find something that has been sold-out everywhere else.
