66 Two quick halves before the Bermondsey Beer Mile. Opens early and is located close to the Tower Bridge and the northern section of the beer mile. Three cask ales and 14 craft beers on kegs, most of them from London breweries. Comfortable pub in wooden layout. Food options. Polite service. (Visited with Finn 19.10.2019). |
66 Good-looking pub with an OK selection. |
68 Very modern looking place near Tower Bridge, Selection of around 15 tpas and casks, a lot of room to eat and drink. Worth a visit if you're going to Tower Bridge. |
64 Reasonable number of taps including 3 cask. Not the most exciting selection however. Wings weren't as good as what Brewdog serves in its own branded bars. |
52 I have yet to have a good experience here and have been twice (most recently January, 2018). Either they forget you're there or they don't bring you what you ask for.
On the plus side, they're open later than most bars around. |
76 Chain pub near Tower Bridge. Spacious enough inside, with lots of seating. Decent enough selection of craft beers, I particularly liked the 'paddle of the day' which was three halves of some decent and interesting beers (I had an Orbit sour, a Cloudwater IPA and a Vibrant Forest hefeweizen)
Service was efficient and helpful with a decent range of choice bith on tap and canned/bottled.
The food was decent pub fare. I had the chicken burger and fries which was tasty enough. A good location for food before embarking on the Bermondsey Beer Mile |
66 Classic pub with a clean interieur. Taplist has a couple of interesting things, but is not too amazing. Quite a few bottles and cans too, decent selection. Above average burgers and fried stuff for food. Just around the corner of the Bermondsey mile, it was good to have lunch here before starting the trip. |
74 Situated at the southern end of Tower Bridge the DH formula is replicated here. Reasonable selection on the taps plus bottle fridge. Popular with tourists. Worth popping in if wandering past |
80 15/11/17. My second visit. T g e first time I dropped in, before I could start my beer I ort a phone call from a mate asking where I was so had to down it and scraper. So this second visit Was like a first visit as I actually took stuff in. Immediately much more lively than Dean Swift due to boisterous tourists. And a good range of beers. Would have stayed for more but was walking to Waterloo and had other pubs to check out. Great place. |
