70 As Finn practically lives here, certainly it is a beerspot. But ripoff expensive. |
64 Surprisingly good beer selection for a small Vinmonopol. A handfull of new beers every month. |
58 Aahhh, after a hearty breakfast at Scandic Grand Tromsø, I was ready for a new day of place ticking. When this downtown Vinmonopolet bottle shop opened at 10 o'clock, I was standing in line. Not a special Vinmonopol as the one in Jekta shopping centre outside the city centre, but certainly more convenient located for tourists visiting Tromsø. Here we're talking bulls eye location in Nerstranda Senter. Ordinary "big city" selection. I found a bottle, a Norwegian Christmas beer from last year. (Visited July 20th 2017) |
64 Visited the place few weeks ago. Helpful staff that was able guide me to find local products in both beers and spirits. |
56 The only Vinmonopolet in the centre of Tromso. Enough here to keep you going during your trip with four 75cl bottles of cider, including one new Norwegian I’ve not seen in other Vin stores, and one Spanish. Not the biggest selection, but plenty of regional bottles and prices cheaper than Oslo. |
44 Fairly standard selection of beers, nothing special - and no focus on the more local brews. The selection of beers seemed fairly random. Not to impressive and way behind the best stores in Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo. |
64 Visited in July 2015. Very centrally located in a small Shopping Center. I did find some new ones from Haandbryggeriet, Ægir, Austmann and from the local Mack.
The service was polite and friendly. |
64 Limited but quite good selection of craft beers from all over the world, including locals from Nøgne Ø, Ægir and Haandbryggeriet. Prices are as reasonable as you’ll see in the country. Very friendly service. The most central of the Vinmonopolets in Tromsø. |
68 I went in here on Tuesday 22nd January 2013. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection in here, there were offerings from Brewdog, Hornbeer, Panil as well as some US beers and of course some Norwegian beers. Of course the prices are a little expensive for those to unaccustomed to Norwegian prices, however I thought that for the type, strength and rarity of some of the beers on offer then some of the prices were actually not bad at all, the Panil Sour was probably not a lot different to what you would spend in the UK as was the Hornbeer The Fundamental Blackhorn that I purchased. The shop is well situated centrally in town and as you enter the beer selection is off to the left hand side. Certainly worth a look if shopping for some beers to take home as I am sure that there will be at least a few that most of us beer lovers won’t have had. Please note the opening times listed on here. |
42 12.03.2012. Medium sized vinmonopol withan average selection of beers. This day there was nothing new for me. |
