Above average, bigger Systembolaget, with quite a lot of local breweries, like Brasstacks, Slottskällan, or Train Station. They also have a "små partier" reck (limited releases), which not all SB branches have. As always, very good prices for imports. I was there in the early evening and it was packed with students looking for evening drinks. Overall recommended, centrally located and with an interesting selection.
In the Systembolag stores in Uppsala you will find a good selection of beers from the local breweries, Slottskällans Bryggeri and the client brewer Train Station. This store even have a limited special selection of beers. (Visited June 26th 2014)
Ok I went online & saw they had some beers I wanted, get to the shop & I can’t find them. I couldn’t find staff either! The huge shop was really quiet midday & it took awhile before I could find out from staff their system is riddled with errors & most things I was looking forward to picking up were long gone. The staff didn’t seem all that knowledgeable about beer either but they tried. Prices were average, selection was ok but not the best overall experience.
The largest of the two downtown Uppsala monopoly alcohol stores. Sell all kinds of beer from all around the world from 9 SEK to 100 SEK or more. Usually stock all beers that are released at Systembolaget except the very limited ones but those you can easily order to the store with help from the staff.
The central Systembolaget shop in Uppsala, and the one in Uppsala with the largest selection of beers. Staff is very helpful though I have yet to meet someone there that has more than a basic knowledge about beer. One of the shops that get’s all the seasonal releases. Real-time updated stock numbers available online. Systembolaget has upped their game with beer in the past few years and it looks like it will keep on getting better and better. Note that this is one of three Systembolaget shops in Uppsala (and the country) that carry all of Slottskällans beers.
