Pub nearby the Hotel I stayed. As of the time of visit, one of the higher rated places in Vienna. The interior is nice, service OK. Not really a beerplace though, they have a bigger selection than most, but it concists mostly of lager-types beer ( and a handfull others that are nothing too great) the prices are ok . Bit overrated , perhaps ?
Located in the so called "Bermuda Triangle" near Schwedenplatz in Vienna. Nice interior which shows some of the history of the beerpub as well as actual acts in Vienna. The house beer is the "Krah Bräu" which is from Rabenbräu, a small brewery in Lafnitz, Burgenland. The beers are more or less mainstream and standard beers from Austria or Germany for example, but the food is good and cheap. If you are not looking for craft beers and want to have a selection of lager and weizen with cheap, good austrian food, you have to come here.
OKish pub, no Craft beers, but overall decent beer selection with some Macros and some mid-sized breweries. They have one tap reserved for a beer that changes every month. Overall nothing too special. But location is quite good.
Nice atmosphere, but the beer selection is quite unimpressive and the food was a letdown. Certainly worth visiting, but not the place to spend the whole night and certainly not the place to have a nice meal in.
Centrally located bar, superbly busy in the evenings though no surprise with the location being as it is. About ten taps is right, unfortunately no micros at least when I visited. Just regular stuff though from smaller, regional breweries as well as the big ones.
Decent beer bar, with the bar inside the smoking area and a seperate non smoking area. The atmosphere is OK, although it is pretty narrow, especially inside the non smoking area. So I recommend to visit in summer, when they have a sidewalk cafe, which is much cosier. The food is very good, down-to-earth and cheap. Although they have an extensive beer list with many smaller Austrian breweries, it is pretty boring, as there isn’t a big variety in styles: mainly Lagers and Weizen and a few, not really interesting special foreign beers. Overall worth a visit if you search for tasty, affordable food and are fine with average, solid beers, but there are quite a few better beer bars in Vienna.
just sat on a table out in the street to have dinner. nice selection of austrian mail labels bottled, decent "house beer" on tap. good austrian kitchen, normal prices for the city. staff and menu friendly with tourists
Oldest beer pub in Vienna. Located in the first district close to Schwedenplatz. Simple but nice interior. Good selection of beers, mainly bottles, some very good Bock beers. Outstanding food - recommend the warm breads.
