Away from the city centrer bier halles, this place is quite close to central train station. Large bier garten, quite nice, and beautiful halls inside. Nnice selection of Löwenbräu beers on tap, with a few seasonals from the Spaten/Franziskaner group available. Nice food and very good service (our waiter was one of the kindest we found in Munich).
We went to this place before to go back to Switzerland by train. It was close to our hotel. The garden is really nice when the weather is ok. The service was not the best, the waitress was boring but she made their own job. The food was acceptable but the price for Munich is a bit high. The Löwenbrau beer is not my favourite but it is drinkable.
Ambiance was alright. Service was...horrible. Probably got served by the worst waiter ever. Guy actually yelled at a few of the other customers and looked pissed at everyone, including his colleagues, the whole time we were there. Luckily, my girlfriend and I escaped his wrath by clumsily attempting to utter some German phrases with our thick French Canadian accents. Oh God...
Beer selection was very decent. Food was pretty good ; actually the highlight of my visit. Prices were slightly on the high end, I remember. An okay place, and nice for the Oktoberfest-ish experience.
We came here 14.11.2015. A very historic place. Outside and inside very impressive. Unfortunately Löwenbräu is my least favorit beer in Munich. Service, Munich like, hence quite unfriendly. Due to the historic importance still a must beer place to visit.
Nice old building but a little bit out of the city center. Main room is big and open with plenty of seating. It was not too crowded when we were there so the service was quite good. The food was decent enough. I would stop by again.
