Oggi’s Pizza & Brewery - Corona

No Longer In Business

I only found this place because of the GPS. The blue Oggi’s sign was buzzing and barely lit and it’s hidden in the corner of a shopping center. Inside were only a few customers but since it was Monday night during football season they were all die hard NFL fans. Each was wearing a jersey from a different team and each was watching a different TV. Kind of a weird atmosphere. Friendly enough I suppose. I counted 7 house taps and a couple of guest taps. The upside is that since all the beer is made in San Clemente the quality is about the same at all locations. I didn’t eat but the food prices were a little high. I think if I come back it will be to try the newest Oggis beer and only when I’m in the area (El Cerrito is less than a mile away).

Very small Oggis, compared to others that i’ve been to. The bartender was very knowledgable and happy to talk beer with us. Usual beers on tap, Hop Juice was out unfortunatly. Green Flash Imp. IPA was on though. Sports bar feel, but not loud. Nice place.

If you’ve been to one Oggi’s, you’ve to all. Sports bar feel, average service, and only one specialty brew on tap. I didn’t try the food here.

This is a great local spot. Rich the owner is almost always around and will come by and say hi. The Pizza is very good and the crust is great. If you join the Mug Club you get the 25ozs of the Oggi’s Brews for the same price as pint. The Hop Juice is my favorite of the Oggi’s Brews.
