66 This is basically an above-average Applebees with 100 beers on tap. Most are throwaways, obviously, but the rotating selections were actually pretty decent. The food we got was also pretty good. Obviously there are better options in the area, but if you find yourself here for whatever reason, you’ll at least get a good beer, good service, and decent food. |
80 Went here last night. Decent place. Food was good, if a bit pricey. Beer selection was good. Lots of BudMillerCoors types of things, but also some nice ones. The flights were actually not too bad. Six 5oz pours for about $10, and some of the things were really nice. Good number of local brews also. Small pours are a bit pricey at about $4 each. Overall, a good place in a great beer town. |
86 Super place awesome beer, service and food. I was impressed with the 130 taps. |
84 Something for everybody, beer menu organized by taste/style, making it easier to locate what you want. 100 taps...enough said |

Same block as Local. About the same as every other Yard House. Service is prompt, there are a ton of taps (most of which are Anheuser owned), and it’s a bit noisy. That said the food is good and there are always a couple of good taps and the house beers. Realistically you can do better if you are in search of a great beer but there are some things to pick from and it’s a fun place to hang out with some non beer geeks. |
72 Typical Yard House appearance, selection, pricing, and service. The typical 100 something taps, but nothing really out of the ordinary. I guess it works, but with so many other places in San Diego, not really sure why you would come here. |
78 An amazing selection, a beer festival in itself, although many I would not be seen dead drinking! Glad they did half pints so I tried a few. But as it is a big bar it lacks atmosphere and feels quite "corporate" so did not stay as long as I’d have liked (2010). ****update 2016**** VENUE CLOSED |
72 You do not need to come here for the beers only. The ales are served too cool, however I have been impressed by the logistics of more than 100 draft beers. You need to walk downstairs to see the barrels and the hoses. The beer selection is ok, you can find some local ones, no really rare ones however. Very centrally located and food is decent. You should stop here during happy hour for one or two beers and some apetizers. |
44 I used to love this place. The tap list isn’t as good as it used to be, and you can get stuck in the downstairs windowless dungeon if they are busy. The hostesses are rude and the food is mediocre. |
74 Pretty stylish bar with an impressive view to their many taps. Quite a few of them are doubles tho, and they only do flights fixed, so chances are that you will have tastet many of them allready, but they do half-pints. |
